Yes, any rank higher than cadet can invite others, including alts.

Hi, everyone.
I am planning to run an Poker evening in the best tradition of the TNG Bridge Crew.
How is the interest there?
Obviously the game doesn't have an in-game poker apllication and likely never will, so we will have to use an external program to deal the actual cards.
But I imagine it like this.
We meet in the lounge of a ship or the fleet base and have a good time playing "cards" with chat.
So we don't have to minimize thegame all the time the best way would be to use a poker app on mobile devices and ideally a voice chat application would be optional.
There are different poker apps available, depending on what platform the players can use.
Rules would be as follows:
Texas Hold'em
1,000,000 EC buy in
300,000 EC re-buy in
so, if we get 5 players together for this the pot would be 5,000,000 EC at least and up to 6,200,000 if 4 player re-buy in.
Winner takes half the pot.
2nd gets half of the remaining pot
3rd gets half of the remaining remaining pot
...
final 2 players split the rest between themselves 50/50.

Dixie Flatline - Just getting setup again after a move, but usually 11pm-ish Central European Time.
Timelord - Did they fix the voice chat in the game? I use Ventrilo with some of my other connections.

Probably not. I plan to attend the Fedcon in Düsseldof, though.

Far too distant for me to travel to, unfortunately.
KDF Communications Array II upgrade is underway! Next up at the starbase is the upgrade to Tier II for the Industrial Fabricator. Then personnel contacts for science and engineering divisions (common doffs).
Dilithium mine is closing in on being able to upgrade the two tracks, then the mine, to Tier 1. This is still the main focus so the discounts will come into play, should anyone be logging in to their KDF characters.

I've tried to attend a couple of FEDCONs, but we always seem to be busy at work during that time of year and all vacations are denied.
Some friends attended Destination Star Trek: London and enjoyed it. Hopefully DST: Frankfurt will be just as fun. Plus it's a 20 min train ride away. I've never had a problem parking at the Messe, but a small group of us are going so the train is the easiest mode of transportation.
I'm trying to decide if I should wear a regular Star Trek costume or a STO costume. Hmmm...
Update - William Shatner has been added to the guest list. I saw him about 10 years ago and didn't like his arrogance; however, I'm told that he's more personable now.

Haha, how did my original board name, which has been changed for years now, get into that quote?
Saw the Shat last year at the Fed Con. Was cool to see Captain Kirk live on stage once, but won't get out of my way to see him again. To be honest it was a bit boring listening to him for an hour. Maybe I didn't get him on his best day, I don't know...
