STO Trek BBS Fleet

I just got the invite when I logged in tonight. So I'm in.

I added a rifle to the bank that only an Admiral can use that I bought on accident when I first started the game.

This is Tiernan Aybarra from the fleet. I'm doing things in reverse. I'm joining the Trek BBS forums after I joined the fleet. I'm one of aelius's friends and one of the guys keeping an eye on the fleet bank. I just figured I'd join up and say hi to all the ppl on the forum. BTW I am also a huge Star Trek fan so I'm not just some gamer.

Okay how do get promoted from recruit in a fleet?

Just ask one of the senior members. We will try to promote everyone who is has proven themselves to be trustworthy either on the Trek BBS boards or in the fleet. Promotions from recruit to member should come quickly for those we know. If you are new to both the fleet and the boards it may take a bit longer. Look for @Aelius or myself Tiernan Ayberra@redbeard85 and we can usually help with this.

Thingol is also available to help with questions.
This is because he is the first fleet member to to be added to the new TrekBBS Armada Council. He spends more time in the game than I do and is very helpful to both new members and existing members.

I will be sending out more invites to the fleet council, a body to handle admin duties and to plan and help run fleet events. If any member of the fleet thinks they know someone who would be both interested and able, please submit their name for consideration.

I wasn't clear on what these fleets are, either... is it like a clan, or something else?

You have to be invited by a fleetmember... Il send you one and by the time you log in the next time, youwill be a proud member of the TrekBBS Armada.

I cleaned the vault out a little. Sold the items and put the cash in the bank.
As to ranks, people who have been BBS members for a while (this means before STO) usually get bumped up to Member right away. For others we wait and see how they do for a while before that. Members get access to the vault so we are a little careful about that.
