I did try it, but didn't find it very engaging. But if enough people are interested, I'll give it another shot. Might be more fun with others.

If we build up a group from the start it could work out very well. we could make it a themed supergroup (Fantastic Four or X men like) with similar costumes and balanced setup...

The obvious choice would be a Star Trek inspired group. ;)

Well, as I said I dont have much experience with that game. Care to give us a run down on the different, um... what? races? mutations? not sure what it'd be called for Champions. Something to get us thinking at least. Maybe go ahead and make a new thread? I'll just follow your lead for now, at least until it finishes downloading and I can get in and play around with it.

I don't have that much experience with it either.
The biggest asset of the game is the character creator. There are nearly endless possibilities for building a hero of any kind.
Although FTP (silver) member have to resort to several archetypes with limited customization.
Missions are a bit on the boring side mostly. it's go there, mop up x enemys, return. sometimes you need to colelct things.
But recently they have been adding adventure packs/ comic series which are supposed to play a bit more like our Featured Episodes.

A hero can have any origin you like.
Tech based, mutation, demon, alien, sorcerer... you name it.
Backstory is centered around the Champions the most powerful and famous supergroup there is. A bit like a mix of Fantastic Four and X Men.

    Hey All

I'm going to be doing a clear out re-arrange of the Fleet Bank tonight, so if there is anything you want I'd grab it as it may not be there later (mostly green stuff).

    Thanks, Lex.
    That was necessary, cause...

Have we mentioned we finally maxed out our bank tabs?
That means we will be able to differentiate fully between ground/space and quality items.

Feel free to post wishes on what kind of items you want to see in the bank, so we know in which direction we should go.

    Thanks.

The Consumables tab is stocked with lots of goodies for fleet members to use and as we've maxed out our tabs, I'll be attempting to keep it stocked up.

Probably Kitomer (as I still need to complete it), although it might also be infected if I can get Foxton up to level before then.

TrekBBS Armada had it's PvP debut today.
We played 4 matches and did quite well.
We won 2 times against reasonably good PuG groups.
Only against a premade fleet team with lots of experience we lost. And promptly ended up against them a second time... By that point they knew how to handle us and finished us off in half the time with no casualties... bummer ;)

It was good fun last night. Has a real blast doing the PvP and we all seemed to fit quite well together.

As the Fleet bank is getting quite full again, I'll be doing a clean-out this weekend and replenishing batteries/other consumables. If there is something you want, grab it, 'cause it might not be there on Monday.

Post your character name with user name here and I'm sure you'll get an invite soon.

For example mine would be Travado@PureLeadHead.

If enough people are interested in a challenge:
We would like to invite you to a PvP training session with Grande Imperial Fleet.
The purpose is not to get pwned in any way. But use a controlled setting to learn strategys, coordinated team efforts and effective builds.
So in essence to better your playing experience.
Even if you are not so much into PvP, this will help you make the most of your potential. Anyone being moderately capable at PvP will have no problem with PvE ever again, since you will understand your ship and it's abilities a lot better. You can probably play constantly at Elite setting and benefit from better drop chances and more intersting combat then spacebar spam.
