Has anyone played it on tribble yet? I did this morning and loved the TOS feel...even down to the hud design :hugegrin: Loving the 23rd century interiors too...shuttlebay! :techman:
 
Only did a short bit of testing on one of the earlier builds, but I do agree they're doing quite well at replicating the true TOS feeling - for me it was the sound effects that sold it. Hopefully I'll have some time to check out the latest changes this weekend.
 
I would love to try it our, but I don't have a LTS. Need to get one sometime in the future. Depends on how the dollar is, and personal finances. I'm looking forward to AoY, as I've already decided on my new toon's name and that he'll be a distance relative of my main toon.
 
I started a Vulcan science officer on Tribble test server and am two missions in. The missions lack voiceover and some of the animations and cutscenes need polishing, which I assume will be done over the coming months. Other than that, its mostly been a good experience. They definitely nailed the TOS era look and feel. The only part that broke immersion a little was the Romulan ships... Maybe they were just using a placeholder ship for now, because those weren't TOS era Romulan ships.

Some of the later missions include era-specific ships for other NPC races, so I'd guess the Romulan variant isn't ready yet. Maybe we'll see the Romulan D7 variant appear at this point?

Huh? What are you talking about, there were TOS Romulan ships when I played the mission when it first hit the test server.

Now the cutscene showed Post-TOS Romulan ships, but I'm assuming that is because it was a WIP.
 
What's a T6 Connie?

CBS and Paramount seem to be working well this year (not mentioning Axanar) - they're releasing a mega- blu ray boxset and they have JJ stuff on STO
 
If it's the alternate reality Constitution-class maybe they'll stick it in a lock box, since ships like the Wells ended up in there.

On the other hand the last time they had a ship that fit the lockbox (i.e. the Temporal Dreadnought in the Terran Empire box) they put it in the Lobi store.
 
I think the next lockbox will be Vorgon to match the summer event reward; the blog says the ship console works on "Any Vorgon ship" but including the reward there's only one such vessel.
