Although it isn't really relevant to the regenerations, I feel like pointing out that starting with Tom Baker, the Master shows up in the final story of each Doctor with the exception of Christopher Eccleston.

True, although we don't know if he was around for McGann's regeneration

Since the telemovie is technically speaking McGann's final story (televised, anyway) the statement stands.

I really hope so he would make a great master.
I thought he was awsome in sherlock so yeah he would make a great one.

I can totally see cumberbatch as the Master opposite Smith, more than so than I can see Simm, but for that reason, I would like to see a proper story of Smith' s Doctor v Sminmm's master before any successor comes along.
