Not a fan of most of his work on the last couple series of Who and of the last two episodes of Sherlock, but the guy is a hard worker who deserves recognition, I suppose, and watching that clip made me happy.

I was surprised by how much I really liked the first season of Sherlock, getting a bit pissed off by all the hype; the second series was not quite as good but still very solid for the most part (I'm possibly in the minority, but my favourite S2 episode was the one by Gatiss).

Although it doesn't get mentioned much these days, Jekyll is another solid Moffet show.

Wonderful tribute by Cumberbatch and Smith and great speech from Moffat himself. Every show I've seen him work on (Coupling, Jekyll, Doctor Who, and Sherlock) has been brilliant and I look forward to more of his work for many years to come. And I suppose I should eventually watch Press Gang, too.

Jekyll stands alone well enough as self-contained mini-series, with strong performances from James Nesbitt and Denis Lawson. I was also properly introduced to Gina Bellman, but I wasn't sure about Paterson Joseph's American accent.

Gina Bellman, loved her in that. She could go from vulnerable mum to hot babe to fiercely defensive wife in 5 seconds flat. She's currently being very good in Leverage.

Oh she was fab in it, out sexy'd Michelle Ryan all the way!

Michelle Ryan? Yeah, in Jekyll, hell yeah, Bellman was far hotter. Or did you mean Jeri Ryan? Cos Jeri Ryan was very good in Leverage too, when she filled in for Bellman who was having a baby. JRyan was really hot in a leather mini, and a vastly underrated actress as well. But Bellman has probably a few more actress chops than JRyan, just about every week she has to prove that ability all over again, and does it with style.
