Steam Punk Star Trek

I especially appreciate the music choices... And the bondage scenes.

But shouldn't this be in fanfic?

Nah, leave it. It's a TOS parody.

Love the music, too. All we need now is Steam Trek remastered. Those effects were really bad...

Because f/x in 1890 were really state of the art :) :)

You know, I debated putting a smiley in my post to make it clear my tongue was in my cheek (I've posted ad nauseum as to why I think TOS-R is a bad thing). Glad to see I didn't have to.

That was cool. Nice music work, too.

BTW, as an aside: it's "ad nauseam." With an "a".

Well, "punk" is a bit of a misnomer. The term "mutated" from the earlier literary concept of "cyberpunk" developed by William Gibson and other writers of the 80s. And "wild, Wild West" (especially the later, gadget filled episodes) fits well into the Steampunk genre and is often used as a handy example to explain to the layman.

Sincerely,

Bill

Perhaps, Mods move at will.
It could really go in either forum. But I don't have any problem with it staying here.

I will make a shameless plug for the Fan Films forum though, because if you liked this there are more to be found.

I know the people that made this and that they spent hours on the C.G.I.(Thats cardboard, glue, and ink).
have to dig out and watch the 17 min original version of it.

Why was there a shorter edit?

I wondered because the whole thing with the alien gets resolved in such an awkward way it feels like something was cut out.

Cool film!

To add to the material, there is an online RPG called "Steam Trek," as well, and in June 2005, I challenged the TrekArt forum to create Steam Trek-themed art, with some great entries.

I'd love to see someone make a 'serious' Steam Trek film, just for shiggles. :D

Steam Trek (as shown on the RPG site) looks totally awesome. I would freaking LOVE to see a film, or even an entire series, based on that motif.
