Steam Deck - Did you get one? Are you on the wait list?

^^^Just remember that the Rog does not come with Steam OS or the fantastic community control choices features that the SD comes with out of the box, point in question playing Star trek online with the joypads and track pads, something that cannot be done on the Rog because it has no trackpads, meaning pc games that require mouse control will be unplayable on the Rog while you lounge in your comfy chair, then of course your steam account and everything that comes with it like steam workshop intergration for adding mods to your games at the press of a button, and valve support has been top notch with the SD since launch with the addition of full FSR support which has mean't the SD can play just about everything at this point, and of course the base model is half the price of the Rog.....i mean the Rog looks nice and all but going 1080p was pointless on a handheld screen of that size, no doubt why the battery life is so poor, and for 700 quid i would expect at least some trackpads.

I'm not fussed about steam games because that's what the desktop pc in the other room is for, But as a portable windows machine that can function for light gaming the ROG seems tempting to me, and that it runs Windows out of the box or can be clean booted.

Ah well, see i went for the SD because i have almost 1000 games on my steam account, so getting round to actually playing the 90% of games i have never touched was why i went SD, point in question, playing Fallout 4 GOTY edition at last, on max settings while reclining in my comfy chair, is why i went for the SD, plus i was never going pay 700 quid for a handheld, 350 quid was my sweet spot for such a device.

But i sm sure you will enjoy your Rog, and who would have thought 20 years later i would be playing my steam account on a pc i held in my hand.

Other machines I know of include the GPD Win and that one seems to be wn oddity because I don't know anyone that's actually owned one and can say how good or bad they are.
