STC Episode 6 (news and speculation)....

If it's any help, when I watched the public teaser when I was out today on a WiFi hotspot, it took me three attempts to see it on Vimeo. When I tried the first two times, the play bar just scored as if loading. Third time was the charm.

Intriguing teaser, can't wait to see the public release. Gigi looks gorgeous in the Starfleet miniskirt!

The guy who played transporter tech Wilson had less screen time and I thought he was more entertaining.

No question, though, that STC is much more ensemble like than TOS was after the early part of first season.

I thought Gigi did a fantastic job and she was a delight on set. The guy who played "Wilson" funny enough was our waiter at Vic's birthday party last year. He seemed perfect for the role and behold; he is in the episode! :)

Please don't take my remark as a put down. I don't think she was horrible or anything. I just didn't find her character engaging.

Smith, on the other hand, radiates energy onscreen.

The whole episode was amazing. I thought everyone just "clicked", from the sound, direction, performances, etc. I have watched this episode twice in one day. I have only watched two other episodes twice in a several month long span. I cannot wait to get home and watch it on the 70" with the sound system and my wife who is not a Star Trek fan. I think she will really like this one. I was wondering how many episodes TOS did b4 this happened and I think it was episode 8 "The Balance of Terror". For the record I thought Gigi played it perfectly and I did not know who she was b4 this. Wilson was great we need more of him. Smith was great too. Everyone stepped it up a notch. Dam close to a "classic" in my book. Hell I feel like queuing it up to Chris's scene right now, that was funny.

We asked for more for Uhura to do and we finally got it. :techman:

It's nitpicky, but the women's hair styles look rather less stylized than we're accustomed to with TOS. They struck me as more contemporary like.

It'll be nice when we can discuss this openly in two weeks or so.

Doug Drexler has done such an awesome job with the Big E that I would LOVE to see him bring the Klingon D7 battlecruiser to the screen. C'mon, STC! We gotta see some TOS style Klingons with that amazing D7 in action. I admit John Colicos (Kor) and Michael Ansara (Kang) are hard acts to follow, but we think you can do it.

Screw the Klingons. Romulans! (With a D7 ok)

Then it would be Star Trek Continues: Phase II. What I can appreciate about STC is staying away from what the other fan studio tend to do which is CLING ON with the Klingons. So please STC, don't and keep with your own stories to tell.

What if STC could possibly get permission to use "Secrets of Vulcan Fury", Vic could ask D.C. Fontana to write a full episode, and he makes a fan episode from it?

Why? Who said STC has to do a Phase II story like "Kitumba"? We're talking about one episode that might show us some TOS style Klingons or Romulans for that matter.

I could even imagine something where the Enterprise comes across a derelict D7 battlecruiser and have to figure out what happened to it.

From the Teaser , I liked Spock's eyebrow lift at Chekov's illogical exclamation , "That's impossible!", since the event of a meteorite striking the ship did happen.

Technically Chekov was correct since it wasn't a meteorite that struck the ship. Still begs the question as to how _____ managed to do it.

Good point. I hadn't thought of that angle. Not sure if you were the fortunate ones to see the episode but maybe you may have your with with this new installment?
