My OCD really wants 13 episodes. I guess I'll have to import NV 2 and 3 into my STC season, and *really really* pretend its Vic or Bill.... lol.
With all of the New Voyages, Continues and TAS episodes combined, I think we have more than enough stories to cover the remaining two years of the five years mission. Especially with 'Mind Sifter' as Kirk appears to have been missing for a period of several months.Agreed! IMO Brian Gross was a pretty good Captain Kirk. Unfortunately he only did 2 NV/PII episodes, "Mind-Sifter" and "The Holiest Thing". So in my headcanon these 2 episodes plus the entirety of STC are TOS' fourth & fifth years.![]()
New Voyages have themselves confirmed that it is set between “No-Win Scenario” and “Mind-Sifter”, so therehttps://www.trekbbs.com/threads/cou...rk-in-the-same-timeline.285682/#post-11877561
The main change I would make to @Philip Guyott 's stirling work is put Come What May between EMBRACING THE WINDS and BLOOD AND FIRE due to Chekov's promotion. Ignore him being referred to as Lieutenant in To Serve All My Days and World Enough and Time - yes due to the differences between both productions wriggle room is absolutely required

Regarding Chekhov's promotion:
NEW VOYAGES: “To Serve All My Days” [E2] - Stardate 6031.2 - does not affect continuity as it must be set in a parallel universe where Chekov dies anyway! However in the later ending the whole episode was revealed to have been Chekov's own vodka induced dream

NEW VOYAGES: “World Enough and Time” [E3] - Stardate 6283.4 - The entire TOS elements of the show are a future Sulu reminiscing about the past. Therefore any inconsistencies could be explained away by Sulu simply remembering incorrectly. However I do not recall him being referred to by his rank during this episode anyway.
CONTINUES: "Embracing the Winds" [E7] - Stardate 6295.3 - This is when Chekov was actually promoted to Lieutenant
NEW VOYAGES: “Come What May” [pilot episode] - Stardate 6010.1 Chekov is security chief!

Unless he was demoted again. After all, in that episode he was pretty useless as security chief
