YeahWas the C that much larger in volume than the B?
Enterprise-A was dwarfed by Excelsior yet we never think of it as lesser
Even as a separate class after the fact.I wish we'd seen the Probert version
The Enterprise-A in unconfirmed, while atleast the Defiant was brand new.Even as a separate class after the fact.
I thought it was bad luck to rename a ship? (Enterprise-A & Defiant #2 aside)
Cant understand why people think that version is an improvementI wish we'd seen the Probert version
The Defiant2 was previously the Sao Paulo. We also had no idea whether that one was new.The Enterprise-A in unconfirmed, while atleast the Defiant was brand new.
It's a nice looking ship, just a little closer in style to the Galaxy class than to the Excelsior style.Cant understand why people think that version is an improvement
Top photo reminds me of the view often used for the Galactica. Kinda similar shape to the front of the saucer.I quite like the updated Inquiry-class with the proper navigational deflector. It has both a solidity and a flow to it. It looks like a proper evolution of the post-TNG era designs (post-post-TNG era?). It also looks like a double-hard bastard of a starship that can take and deal a lot of punishment. There's something almost aggressive about those nacelles.

I do agree though that her being around 630m long per Eaglemoss feels a bit too big and ungainly for the design language. I'd have scaled it as somewhat intermediate between the Intrepid-class and the Sovereign-class, around 450-500m in length.
Don't see it myself. The arse is too long and the secondary hull looks terrible from the front. The Defiant2 was previously the Sao Paulo. We also had no idea whether that one was new.
Or is the superstition related only to "used" ships?
It's a nice looking ship, just a little closer in style to the Galaxy class than to the Excelsior style.
Was it not stated or implied somewhere in its debut that the Sao Paulo was "fresh off the line" or some such? I could be wrong. The Defiant2 was previously the Sao Paulo. We also had no idea whether that one was new.
I can't remember either, but I don't think it was mentioned. Was it not stated or implied somewhere in its debut that the Sao Paulo was "fresh off the line" or some such? I could be wrong.
I know S3 of Picard was meant to lean heavier into fan service from the start, but I really think they went overboard and discarded believability in the process. It's too bad, because it was completely unnecessary to go that far.I remember thinking during PIC season 1 that I really wanted to have them show a new, original Enterprise-F. Now, we have two new Enterprises, and not only are they not original, they look extremely silly. Oh well. Here’s hoping we’ll get an Enterprise-Z in the final season of DSC.
