Spoilers Starship Design in Star Trek: Picard

Of course he's not hard to find. I've seen him at conventions. I'm from the same city as him. Same slice of Canada, remember. Granted, it's the world's cruelest coincidence we're from the same area, but that was the point I was making that, around here, you don't wish death upon people.

accurate to what? They used 3 different models during the series/movies. They're all canon.
Accurate to the 6 foot model. It's arguable whether the 4 foot model should be point of comparison given its more accurate to the sets (10 forward) but it upsets the scale so I think most people would consider the 6 foot model to be the most 'authentic' version of the D.

And that's only within the people you know and deal with normally.

I'm sure there are plenty of people in London, Ontario, Canada that you don't deal with.

They can be VERY different from what you're expecting.

Anyways, I'm going to eat Dinner.

Go live up to your promise as a "Role Model" and call him out IRL.

He should be easy enough for you to meet face-to-face IRL given that you're in the same city.

Vlog it, show us how it's done.

Most people won't notice the differences, or even care.
That's true. The only thing I noticed is the windows having frames that jut out from the hull instead of being flush. Aside from that I think it's a perfect representation of the ship. Some people are saying the aztecing is too prominent but due to the way TNG was filmed and composited, you couldn't see the azteccing that was present on the physical models anyway.

There is nothing you can say to me that will make wishing death upon another human being, over a TV show, an ok thing. Nothing. It's not ok, it's not acceptable. It shouldn't be tolerated.

If I were to wish death upon you, I would absolutely, and rightfully be removed and banned from this forum. As it should be. But I would never do that because I'm not a lord supreme asshole.

I'm curious, since the D is not my favorite ship so you (or others) will know doubt know-what are the differences between the various shooting models and do they line up with the sets?

Tl;Dr mostly a thicker rim on the saucer to account for the Ten Forward set, raised hull plating, and a fatter secondary hull due to differences in sculpt.

Thank you. I love the grudging acceptance at the end. "It's not all that bad."

I really don't like the huge thick hull plating on the 4 footer, it makes the ship look less advanced like it was all welded together like an old tank. And while the wider saucer rim is more accurate to the sets, I personally prefer the 6 foot model. It's shocking how much the different models look when in direct comparison.

Ex Astris Scientia is a valuable trek resource that we should all cherish.

I'm sort of glad the D crashed in GEN. First Contact would have been a different sort of movie with the E-D. All those child borg walking around... Urgh.

There is nothing wrong with wishing a disliked fictional TV personal death. Let's not get absurd here.

He wished death upon Alex Kurtzman. Last time I checked, he was a living, breathing human being.

I did not realize that. I got confused with threads. I thought people were upset I was happy Shelby died. If he really did that, it's not illegal but it's unfortunate and shameful. I still think their production values are good!
