The console shapes and screens match up to those on the Discovery bridge and off to the right of where the Captain sits. Basically where Airiam's station was.
The new ships (well, one ship) copy-pasted 200 times, suck. No other way to describe them
After what happened on Utopia Planitia, I think Starfleet decided the smartest thing to was to start xeroxing starships. Why build something when you can push a button and replicate it?Yeah disappointment or what.
I have never been disappointed in a startrek fleet until now.
Even discovery had a good variety of ships.
Probably the only let down of the series.
Everyone in the galaxy is still putting their ships shoulder to soldier like Napoleonic soldiers though. I get that it's for screen shots but... come on people.. it's called SPACE not Lack-of-SpaceCalled them using the Discovery bridge months ago! Except I guessed it would be for the Enterprise-E.
The fleet looked cool, kinda Star Trek Online-ish but were there only 2 designs?
That would've been gloriousI’m just glad they didn’t show those godawful Luna and Odyssey classes.
What's the 9th one, the wide red thing? Here are all the ships in the game that I think look good. From all the playable ships, so that indcludes Starfleet, Klingon, Romulan, Jem'hadar and non-faction alien races.

Michael Chabon confirmed on Instagram, it was the Discovery bridge redressed and Frakes filmed that part while in Toronto direcring Disco S3 episodes. Are we sure it's the actual Discovery bridge or did they build one similar? Picard films in California whereas Discovery films in Toronto. It was all viewscreen stuff, perhaps Frakes filmed his stuff while directing a Discovery S3 episode.
Just came here to say I hate the new ship designs, they look like unfinished game models.

I'd say this is a joke, but I kind of think not really. I could actually see Starfleet doing this in 2399.
No confirmation either way yet, they look similar in size to some of the STO mid size Battle Cruisers but they could just be placeholders and we will never see them again....Memory Alpha seems to wish to claim that the ships we saw were of the Curiosity class, the same as the Ibn Majid. How's that? Is there a tweet or other statement, or an obscure Ready Room graphic, to suggest this?
The silhouette seen on Rios' treasure chest is completely dissimilar, with different pylons and proportions and primary hull shape. But perhaps there was a, umm, ah, refit?
Timo Saloniemi
While those 3D models certainly leave something to be desired, it's interesting that once again Eaves essentially started off from an existing concept of his, from STO this time. The original concept is certainly more busy (and interesing IMO), but the general shape is identical.

One of the Na’khul ships. The aliens from the opening of ENT Season 4.What's the 9th one, the wide red thing?
Never thought I’d say this, Discovery Starfleet ships were better than this.
And this is coming from someone who otherwise rated Discovery a 4 and Picard a 10

It was stated in an Instagram story by Chabon that the Zheng He was a Curiosity class ship, and that there were four classes of Starfleet ships represented in the fleet.
