Alas poor Bird of Prey, we hardly knew ye.
I hope season two gives us episode after episode of assimilated Disco Klingon-Borg drones and uses TOS footage corrected to include the proper canon Disco Enterprise.
That's the spirit! At this point, why not?
Well no matter what...someone is going to be upset
Well no matter what...someone is going to be upset
I think upset is a strong word. I've never been truly upset with any of this, beyond having to pay to watch Discovery, that is primarily because it is so dull and uninspired from my POV. Even then it is only $11 a month, and my mother-in-law gets a lot of mileage out of the service.
Yeah, Discovery is disappointing. At the same time, I'm near fifty and been a fan all my life and am giddy that I'm still getting new Star Trek. Sometimes you can win and lose at the same time. Such is life.
I was more so referring to the people who act like the fact that the Enterprise isn't a 6 foot model in front of a blue screen makes everything an abomination.
And that is an 11 foot model!![]()
Didn't they also use smaller models? or was that the E-D that they went to a 6 footer?
TOS had an eleven foot model and a three foot model (now lost). A 5.5 foot model was later made for DS9.Didn't they also use smaller models? or was that the E-D that they went to a 6 footer?
1) Engineers have been using the golden ratio since the Parthenon. It's also in just about every introductory textbook on art written since the Renaissance. The suggestion that Jeffries wouldn't be aware of it is insane.
2) Equally groundless is the assertion it isn't present in the design of the Enterprise. The linked article demonstrates ample evidence of that. Both major elements and minor details conform to it.
