Stargate SG-1 Fan Mystery

I found it through syndication. I was working on an Ancient Egypt-related project in my history class when the local Fox affiliate was premiering the first episode. I never saw the original movie, but I knew it had some connection to Ancient Egypt. I figured I'd check it out. I did, but never came back the following week. A few months later, I watched the original movie and then started up with the show. It stuck and I loved it.

Never had Showtime. I began watching the show when season 2 was in syndication. My first episode was "1969".

Saw the original movie in the theater, loved it, and subscribed to Showtime for five years, specifically for StarGate. When it left Showtime, so did I. I continued watching even with the shortened seasons, lackluster writing, and failed attempts at irony (that one skit in "200" becoming the next series? ugh), but could only take the first 10 episodes of SGU. How the mighty had fallen, I decided.

10 seasons of SG1, 5 of Atlantis, and half of the failed final series ... that's enough for me.

I didnt even know I had Showtime at the time, then I seen Apophis eyes pulse, And then I seen the Stargate I was confused and pretty much hooked then. I think it was the premier?

Caught a few episodes in syndication but never got into it. Started watching with deep interest as soon as it hit Sci-Fi though as it aired alongside Farscape which I loved.

Sci-Fi Channel's four-hour catch-up blocks were an amazing way to spend my Monday nights.

I don't remember the year I started to watch it. It was on the Sci Fi channel when it was the REAL Sci Fi channel (not siffy). It might have been on at the same time as LEXX, but I am not sure if I watched both at the same time.
