It would have been funny if when they got to the alternative version of earth, Jack O'Neil was played by Kurt Russle.

Ya gotta love how in every recent alternate universe Carter dies somehow.

Road Not Taken -- vaporized.
The Last Man -- killed on the Phoenix.
Continuum -- dies when the shuttle crashes.

Is it me or is there a theme here?

Saw it a second time on Sky - still good!

It's kind of ironic how a guy with a South African accent wants to have a black man as his servant...

Maybe Daniel passed the dying-a-lot virus to her somehow?

Let's not go there, please. I strongly, strongly, strongly doubt that was the writer's intention.

Enough racism exists in this world without spotting it where it doesn't exist.

Besides, I highly doubt the writers of Stargate have the capacity for the depth required to even try something like that.

Watched it earlier in the week and enjoyed it, should be buying the DVD when it comes out on Monday.

Watching it now - pretty good. Nice to get back to proper SG vs Goa'uld action (I gave up on the series halfway through season 9 - the Ori stuff bored the shit out of me). This is better than anything since about season 6.

Baal is still brilliant (and *so* obviously an incarnation of Dr Who's Master) - and I love his outfit. Must do that one at a convention.

Ketesh is much more interesting than Vala. I'd do her, no question.

If only that rule would apply to the "real" Carter.

Quetesh was pretty cool, she would have made a good recurring villain on the show. Unfortunately since this was an altered timeline we probably won't be seeing her again.

And yet in Ripple Effect there was room full of Carters.
