How about adding Sergei Rozhenko and Worf to the list?

Side note: listing this just made me realize that except for Worf, none of the DS9 Starfleet people had other family members in Starfleet. Another subtle way of showing how everyone is different from the norm, perhaps?

The Nepotism method
I wouldn't say Nepotism exactly.. there are a good number of families that can trace many generations of service, there dad, there grandpa, there great great grandpa. Sometimes service runs in the family. but I guess a son or daughter would be given a bit of a leg up because of who there father/mother was, but that kinda wouldnt happen of your mom/dad didn't make captain or above, just another Weasley.. :vulcan:

Like military today, everyone knows they are there to join, some posters, some commercials, occasional booth ,a 5 ship flyover at an event, etc. Its an all volunteer force, and they seem to have no shortage of applicants from 150 member worlds and others outside the federation.

You've forgotten Jonathan Archer, first and ultimate nepotism baby.
