Do let me refer you, however, to the "Multi-Quote" button, which is a nifty feature that will (wioll haven be?) allow you to to quote and respond to several posts in a single reply, thus avoiding that pesky "more than two consecutive replies in a thread may be considered Spamming" issue. :)

Gladly! How does it work?

It's pretty easy... as you go through a thread, you see a post you'd like to quote, you hit the "Multi-Quote" button. This sort of "marks it" for later use. Keep reading through the thread until you find all the posts you'd like to reply to, and hit "Multi-Quote" on each one. When you reach the LAST post you'd like to reply to, hit the regular ol' "Quote" button, and every post that you hit "Multi-Quote" on will be sitting in your reply window, with the plain ol' vanilla "Quote"-ed post at the bottom. Enter your comments and submit!

Oh.

Well that sounds easy.

Does it work across pages? In other words, can I read the first three posts and mark them, skip ahead four pages and reply to the first three plus the most recent post all at once?

Yes, it sure does! What's more, I think it even works across multiple threads!

Awesome feature! Sure beats the old way I used to do it by copying pasting each quote into notepad and putting them together that way.

So that blue thing with the dots? Some sort of shield generator? A security field, akin to the X-ray machine in Total Recall? This film is full of possibility!

Ahh, allowing trekbbs in Firefox with noscript is required.

;)

It's an obvious bluescreen, to be painted over with some cool imagery or other in postproduction. Although since it seems to serve as a backdrop for the big graduation gathering in the Trek reality, perhaps it is a bluescreen in Trek reality, too? The official Starfleet photographer can choose the background he, she or it wants for the graduation shot, then...

hello.

could you tell me how i can show all the pages of a thread instead of clicking on next page all the time.

i mean before the "upgrade" (or rather downgrade) you had a button saying show all but now you have to manually click the next page and in a many page thread this can be very tiresome and also if you are saving the thread you have to save each page individually.

is there a setting or hidden option that would enable me to show all pages with single click as before?

thanks in advance.

User CP > Edit Options > Thread Display Options > Number of Posts to Show Per Page

will allow you to set the number of posts displayed, up to a maximum of 40 per page. There is not currently an option to show all posts if that number exceeds 40.

Nope, sorry! As the kind soul who posted before me stated, the best you can do is show 40 posts per page.

 I like the comments on this site. So much for the supposed mass appeal of Star Trek.
man I hate star trek
Yea Star Trek is wack.
That kind of disapoints me.
 Nice pics though.

It pretty much sums it up, though... I mean, am I the only one who thinks that the uniforms here make everyone look like cult members?

I knew Abrams was gonna mess Trek up, but I had no idea he'd go this far.The redshirtslook like cult members, and the grays look like Starship Troopers drill instructor "enforcers".

After seeing Cloverfield, I have absolutely ZERO confidence is this man to make a movie... not even a good movie... a movie. Period.

Dramatic much?

Seriously.... Anyway, I think they look pretty neat, and pretty retro. I like the banners on the lightposts, but I can't see enough of the uniforms to judge them, though from far away, I like what I see. The car on the other hand I donno, I guess I will have to see how its used.

The thing I like about them is that, at least for the male version, the cut looks very similar to the cut of the TOS dress uniforms. Fits right in.

I envy your ability to prognosticate. Tell me, just how bad will he mess it up? Are we talking slight continuity issues that irk you, or do you predict Abrams will fork out a couple of million to enter Earth's orbit to personally defecate over whatever remains of Roddenberry he can find?

It sums up what, exactly? That Academy uniforms are ... uniform? Fuck me. Here I was anticipating a mix between Mad Max, Samurai Pizza Cat and Barney costumes.

Just about anything would be an improvement over the dingy grey-and-black jogging outfits that Trek "uniforms" devolved into under Blackman.
