Starfleet Academy Nielsen Ratings Show a Complete Disaster for Star Trek
The Nielsen ratings for the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy two-episode premiere are in — and the series failed to chart.
Paramount rolled out Starfleet Academy with a two-episode premiere — a strategy specifically designed to inflate total minutes viewed and generate early momentum. Even with that built-in advantage, the series couldn’t break into Nielsen’s Originals rankings during its debut week.
According to this, it couldn't muster 1.27M views for each episode in its debut and can barely even make the P+ internal charts.
Is it fair to call these ratings a "disaster" as the article says?
People can dismiss the source, but the numbers are the numbers. This looks bad.
