Starfleet Academy fan organization

Does anyone know if the fan organization known as Starfleet Academy is still around???? And are they still as INTENSE as they were back in the eighties? They used to scare they heck out of me at cons.

Was this the "organisation" where you earned ranks and were assigned to ships? I agree that the whole thing was intense.

Yeah, and they used to dress all in black. You couldn't even strike up a conversation with these people because they were so into Trek.

I remember them. It wasn't for me, but each to their own I guess. From the lack of answers to your questions, it looks like there aren't too many old timers who remember them.
