News Starfleet Academy Coming to P+

Admiral Vance: All right class, here's your next simulation. Holographic Su'kal is about to have a tantrum next to a dilithium quarry. You have seconds to act, and you have no non-lethal weapons and no transporters on call. If you kill him, you will have committed murder and will be court martialed. If you don't kill him, he's about to start a new Burn killing trillions. Also universal translators are scrambled and Su'kal has no idea what you're saying, even if you're a native Kelpien speaker, and it would take hours to unscramble the translators. What should you do?

Doctor: The last time someone forced a no-win situation on cadets they accidentally reprogrammed me too in the process of reprogramming the simulation.

Admiral Vance: Shut up
Simple: he dies. I'll get court martialed. That's a bargain bin in terms of cost against trillions of lives.

Next scenario?
:)

An Enterprise that isn't a Constitution derivative would be nice. Works great for the A and the dash-nothing but the Terryverse is a difficult logic to grasp.

I like the 32nd Constitution but I don't want it to be hosting the Enterprise. Daniels described himself as being from the USS Enterprise so there's probably one kicking about maybe the T by this point but if/when we see it I want it to be grand and stylish.

I like the 32nd Intrepid as well and can accept the Voy-J as it as long as someone doesn't try and say there were many Intrepid Voys.

Wonder what Defiant we're on by this point?

Technically, those ships are over a century old. Now that they don’t have to worry about the Burn, Starfleet should be constructing new ships to replace that aging fleet.
Based on the epilogue scene in Disco's finale, they're still using those ships thirty years later.
That was never a USS though
Although true, by Enterprise's fourth season computer displays did identify the ship as "USS Enterprise NX-01." Likewise, when we see the NX-01 at the Fleet Museum in Picard S3, it did have USS Enterprise written on its hull. So we probably should just accept the fact that to those in charge on these shows, the NX-01 was USS Enterprise and that was the ship Kovich was talking about.

So, some sort of battlestar?

Sort of but one dedicated towards exploration. Lots of science vessels assigned to it. Lots of science labs as well. It is often at the farthest reaches of space exploring unknown parts of space. So far that it would take 5 years for the ship to get back to Starfleet headquarters. Thanks to spore drives though the Federation can now send other ships out to meet it, despite the long distance.

Sounds like the pitch for TNG. And we know how that turned out.
