News Starfleet Academy Coming to P+

That's cool. Surprised even by Reno because she was all but gone during that final season and she always did seem to come and go on "Discovery."

That would be a sweet gig, TBH. Main billing, and you only have to show up for a day's worth of filming each week except for maybe a couple episodes where you're the featured player.
Pedro Pascal's got it made, getting lead billing on The Mandalorian and at this point, unless it's a scene where he's taking his helmet off, he's got someone else filling in for him on set while he just does voice overs.

Re: Gen Z. I tend to think of generations as nonsensical and arbitrary groupings that are too broad to have any meaning, but that said, the kids are all right. I just turned 47 (yes, the Star Trek number) and am an undergraduate in college, but I find them no less brilliant and sophisticated than anyone else. Being young is being young, and there are aspects I find annoying about them that were no less annoying when I was their age.

And Fireproof, I always wanted a Starfleet Academy show when I was a kid, so you're not alone.

Quote from startrek.com:

"It was also announced that Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) will be a recurring special guest star in Season 1."
Hmm, turns out that's what Trekmovie says too. I confess, when the news was first announced, I only read the headline, which is a bit misleading with the implication Maslany would be joining the show's cast in the second season.

Considering how short tv seasons are, it's far easier for actors to be on multiple shows in production during the same year.

Hell, even Stephen Furst was a lead for a sitcom while he was a lead on BABYLON 5 (this was during their 3rd season, I believe). And that was almost 30 years ago. And while that scenario was more an exception than the rule back then, it's obviously possible.

Definitely achievable these days.
