News Starfleet Academy Coming to P+

But... but.... but this series wasn't gonna happen! The internet said it was gonna be cancelled because Kurtzman is a hack! I dunno what to believe anymore!?
Fear not, brother. This is all a deception, a means of distracting us so we don't notice that production is underway on Legacy, and a new golden era of the franchise will commence, Praise Terry.

;) :guffaw::rommie:

Someone should post those photos with the caption "The cast of Star Trek Legacy"

Post this around the net and see how long it takes for the feathers to fly.

It's actually kind of surprise that is it happening with all the behind scenes drama happening with Paramount.

I know but with new people coming I figured they would want to make sure they do the Trek stuff the new people want. Though it is quite confusing just trying to figure out what they are doing with mergers and failed mergers happening.

You might have won this round Starfleet Academy show but I will get you yet! You haven't seen the last of me. I will post constantly until your replaced with Star Trek:Legacy.

I assume they're going to do a "Data in Picard S3" to the Doctor, making him some kind of hybrid of all previous incarnations (with added bells and whistles). Still not sure it makes much sense to reuse a program from over 800 years ago in the Academy. If they do, though, I propose they also include Landru as an Emeritus Professor of the Dark Arts Evil Computers.

Anyway, Picardo is a great actor, so this adds something to the show.
They missed a trick by not having the place run by holograms:

The Doctor fixing up injuries after a football match gone wrong

Combat training with Worf and Dax

Admiral Janeway's geography lessons on the Delta Quadrant

Seven of Nine on Borg tactics

Holo Picard still Chancellor

Hikaru Sulu and Jonathan Archer's long winded politics classes

Riker on the perfect way to sit on a chair

It's business as usual until the new people actually take over. They aren't going to shutter the entire company until then. They still need product to put on the "shelves" and generate income.

These are not quick processes and business has to continue. You can't freeze assets and stop working because thing might change.

But didn't Paramount just shut down it's tv division and also are we sure Paramount plus is not going to be shut down and they start licensing their stuff to other places?
You asked this question before and the answer you got is the same. Paramount Global shut down Paramount Television Studios and shifted their productions over to CBS Studios, their other TV production arm.
