Please, for the love of the gods, NOT another musical. I'd even take teen angst episodes for the new show over another musical.

One musical in the franchise is more than enough. I don't want to be forced to skip a second episode when rewatching the franchise.

It's a great episode. Especially in moving certain character arcs forward. But I don't think a second one is needed.

Same here. I grew up on musicals and enjoyed the first episode, but a second one is not even remotely necessary. Let "Subspace Rhapsody" stand on its own as something unique in the franchise.

Judging by the tone of Landau's show Nancy Drew, I think it's probably a safe bet that there won't be any musicals or other SNW type shenanigans

In the pantheon of all television musical episodes, it ranks somewhere in the middle. It's certainly not the best, but I've seen far, far worse. (And yes, I've seen every musical episode in existence -- even those of shows I didn't otherwise watch.)

But, no, there's no need to do another.

I do hope it will be good, Tilly has redemed herself this past season so don't have many qualms about her being in it now.

One thing I think which is cool is that they will have to spend time aboard starships for training so we’ll probably get to see some new interiors of the new constitution and intrepid class ships. Plus they can have guest lecturers so we can see other members of the 32nd century starfleet.

Between his statement on that and him referring to Holly Hunter as the lead (figured it was likely, but you never know), I'm starting to feel better about this one.

They'll just redress sets already seen in Disco. Indeed, Disco's own corridors were already used as the interior of a 32nd century ship in S4.

That corridor has been EVERY damn Trek ship, including the Enterprise!

Where did you hear this?

The bridge certianlly wasn't as they used it during the Season 5 epilogue, which was filmed at least 6-8 months after filming wrapped.

No, the sets were struck down, and anything they thought might be of use to Academy was put in storage.
