Hi all!

My friend in Finland was telling me about some kind of spoof movie made by fans over there? Has anyone heard about this? Or seen it?

Is it any good or as bad as I'm asumming? He was saying there are talks to dub it with some of the old cast for English speaking countries?

Does anyone know if this is true? And if so, who are they proposing? Might be genius, might be aweful?

"A bit"?

I rather preferred the original version that had classic Trek starships - the shamelessly groin-kicking, face-spitting treatment of the Constitution class is lost in this "Imperial Edition" where the ships are of generic shapes. But I guess it had to be done for copyright reasons or something.

I quite like the main actors, although only some of the supporting cast (the Garibaldi lookalike, the Russian President) are actual pros. But the humor is all Finnish wordplays and classic student jokes, so dubbing it would seem like wasted effort. The subtitle translations tell different jokes, often much diluted...
