Finished watching theses. Like the Animatrix it's very hit and miss. My favorites were 'The Duel' (love the umbrella lightsabre) and 'The Ninth Jedi' but overall this just feels like nothing more than an experiment with no real value. I doubt I'll rewatch them again.
What value is there in any media? There are very few things that I absolutely love that I rewatch. Does that decrease their value now? Curious philosophical question.Finished watching theses. I believe the value is based on one's own personal view. If you rewatch it I would assume you like it or it resonated with you on some level. If you buy it as physical media then it might have even more significance. I will definitely try to rewatch something I like or at least plan to rewatch in the future. The more I like something probably the longer the gap because time changes me and I can see it with fresh eyes. What value is there in any media? An interesting question. For me, there is the initial value of if I enjoyed it. Then, if I find value enough in it to share with others. Some media has value for me in that it changed me in some way or that when I think of it, I am reminded of something good. What value is there in any media? Then I don't like it or hate it. I'll never watch 'Godzilla Final Wars' again. I will never rewatch 'The Others' with Nicole Kidman again because I hated those movies. I might grudgingly rewatch 'Terminator Dark Fate' and 'The Predator' if they bring out new movies of each in future. I'll never rewatch Scott and Charlene get married again on the Australian drama 'Neighbors' because that's just too far in the past and also because it's the 523rd episode of a series which is now at the 8,715th episode. And if you don't rewatch it?
Interesting, and does bring me to my next point. I don't generally rewatch things because time is so limited. So, it's an interesting idea to me that value with the production is associated with how many times I rewatch something. My favorite film in the world is "The Ten Commandments" but I haven't watched it in a decade. But, it's still fresh in my mind. Then I don't like it or hate it. Edit: There might be things that I think I don't need to rewatch even if I really liked them. I really enjoyed some shows but feel like I don't need to rewatch them again. Part of that is because there are other great shows I have yet to watch, such as 'The Wire'. I have to prioritize what I really want to watch again and what I want to remember fondly.
I've been working my way through these off and on since they came out. So far I'm up to The Duel, and it was easily my least favorite so far. I watched the English version, and the dialogue was so bad, I don't think I would have even finished if it had been longer than it was.
I really enjoyed the other two, but I don't really remember enough specifics to say more than that.
Yeah, that one was pretty bad. I liked how Allison Brie was really into it with her voice acting, and some of the visuals were pretty. But the plot was thin, the dialogue was atrocious and the overall execution was off.Oh, sorry, I meant The Twins.
I hope more of them will be similar in tone and aesthetics.
Yeah that was one of the better ones. Though to this day I'm still not entirely sure what the deal was with the robotic high heels. I mean, I get that she probably had prosthetic legs thanks to a run-in with a Sith (probably Maul and/or Savage) that killed her Master, but . . . why high heels?! That doesn't seem terribly practical. In honor of Star Wars Day, I decided to go back to this, and watched The Village Bride this morning. It was really good, with a nice art style, and a good story.
