Well, I more blame Disney than any "Pirate" they knew that they had a series everybody wanted to watch, but only made it availbable in north america, with a european release 4 months latter? Really?
So on this ocasion.. no sympathy for Disney loosing money to pirates, could have waited 4 months to do a world wide streaming start up..
So there are probably plenty of people that would love to pay for it.. but don't have the choice.. so.. Yar Me harty's!

And people could've simply waited. It wasn't their property. It is theft.

I agree that people should have waited. It’s wrong to take the property that isn’t theres.

In fairness, it is incredibly annoying because this is something people like to talk about online as it comes out, and it’s going to be really hard to avoid spoilers. Not Disney’s fault though.

I agree. I question why they made a staggered launch, but it was their move to make.

Something to with licensing and Sky. Not their fault.

To be honest I actually don’t mind so much people pirating Mandalorian as long as they eventually pay for it and don’t act like they’re some kind of modern Robin Hood thumbing their noses as the evils of Disney. As I said before, it’s more that people often do it without admitting they’re in the wrong or while claiming they ‘can’t afford it’, which is usually a lie.

Gosh, I just can’t believe how long it takes for a Pagani Huayra to clear customs. I’m just gonna steal one, it’s Pagani’s fault for not making them more available.

Its 2019 not 1999. People are not going to wait.

Though there is not a excuse for piracy as you can just get a VPN which is legal and still gives the money to the show makers.

Or you just get a VPN and watch it.
That way no one is doing anything illegal and Disney still get paid.
Everyone is happy.

Except SKY who are trying to hold disney to ransom. But fuck them.

But the four month delay really does take a lot of the enjoyment out. I speak from personal experience.

I used to work remotely outside the uk, and when season 5 of Game of Thrones came out I had to wait 3 months before I could legally buy it on ITunes instead of torrenting or illegally steaming. I did, but I wish I hadn’t. Couldn’t talk to friends about it and it was impossible to avoid spoilers, so much of what I enjoy about the show was ruined.

If I’d been unable to watch season 6 legally as it came out, I’d have streamed it or something. Not saying I’d be in the right for doing so, but I would.

Yeah, changed my mind after further thought. I still think it’s wrong, but screw it i’d still do it if that was I show I was interested in.

Sorry, I meant pirating. Although surely that’s something Disney doesn’t want you to do?

VPN?
Don't think they care as they still get paid.

Especially at this point. I think they would rather you use a VPN and pay them than pirate it and don't pay them. And they secretly probably rather you us a VPN and pay than wait as they will make more money.

And Disney nor sky who are causing the delay are the law anyway. So tough titties if they don't like it. Disney can just shut up and take my money.

So, according to the Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker - Starkiller Base was formerly the planet Ilum, source of kyber crystals for the Jedi Order for millennia.

Also, there are hints that Jannah may be Lando’s daughter or granddaughter. There is a note in the same book that Lando settled down after the war and started a family and a deleted line from Lando where he states that the First Order went after the children of the Rebellion’s leaders.

Actually it might be a bit of Disney's fault and the EU's. The EU requires all streaming services to have at least 30% of their content be European produced. I think certain EU countries will allow the streaming services to pay a surcharge in lieu of the production quota, but again that's per country. My understanding is that Disney has historically not had a large footprint in Europe, at least as far as production. They recently tried to buy Sky, but that deal fell through, so they're not at that 30% quota imposed by the EU government.

If this is the case, Disney didn’t meet the content quotas or in the case they had the option to pay, didn’t want to.

Another thought - I at first thought each Sith Star Destroyer being armed with a planet killing weapon was ridiculous, but then I thought about nuclear weapon proliferation. Within a very short period of time after WWII nation- states all over the globe possessed nuclear weapons capable of causing unthinkable destruction.

It's been over 30 years since the deathstar and even that was in development for 20 odd years before yavin.

Miniaturisation of tec makes sense. Especially as we see a similar but less powerful canon on the mandator IV and the crait siege gun.

And to be honest cracking open planets is not that hard if you have the energy resources that star wars has.

Hell if we crack fusion power on earth it would not take much to accelerate a asteroid at relativistic speeds into planet which would obliterate it. A 100m asteroid traveling at 10% C would be a pretty bad day.

Starwars weapons are plasma based (despite being called lasers) using superheated high energy gas. If they have hyperdrives ect creating the energy to power such a plasma weapon is easy a imperial star destroyer pretty much has a small sun worth of energy in its reactor. The difficult part would be focusing such power in a way that doesn't blow the ship up. Hence the kyper crystals.
