Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Surefire

Is anyone at all annoyed that this is animated?

I don't care if the machines, ships, etc. are animated. Many of the previous movies had animated ships, bots, and machines.

I'm a little annoyed that the people are animated though. They do NOT look real. They look like 3D cartoons.

I still look forward to the movie, I just wish they used real actors.

What impresses me is that Lucas finally found a way to make his actors look as wooden as they behave. Bravo!

Real actors have been holding Star Wars back for years. It is about time Lucas got rid of them.

The characters look like 3-D cartoons because they are 3-D cartoons. They're not trying to make this series look realistic but jaw-droppingly beautiful.

I'm really surprised at the amount of pre-release griping for The Clone Wars. The live-action series is in the works for those who want more of that, and those who only need the Episodes can watch those to their heart's content.

Also, if you need to pin blame or glory on someone for this project, look to Dave Filoni, who's the person in charge of making the series. George has input, of course, but he's in more of a consulting role this time around.

One question, is this an actual movie or is it just the first four episodes of the animated series stitched together and released in theaters?

No.
Its a designed film that leads into the new series.
A prequel of sorts which itself is an "untold tale" between installments in the franchise.

I just applied for free passes for SW:TCW, if I don't see it in theaters this way I'm waiting for DVD.

So it's a single, movie-length story designed for the screen - that's good news. Still, I'm debating whether to see this in the theaters or wait for DVD. We'll see how the reviews go.

I am looking forward for the movie, i hope it has a good script. The robots and ship looks great! I really don´t care about the humans.

Exactly my point.

The robots and machines look damn good for animation.

The people look more like bugs bunny on 3D vision.

If the plot and story is good, I'll be happy though.

I'm not upset. I think the animation looks great and I always thought SW had a future in animation.

Anikain has a plucky girl sidekick padawan who in turn has a baby Hutt sidekick who burbs and farts for wacky comedic hijinks. Fuck you Lucas. Fuck you.

This is why I think CGI is being used way to much. I felt exactly like this when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie came out. I was like, why CGI? While the film turned out to be good, I still liked it better when they used real suits and people to make the movie. When an attempt to make a movie look real with real people, it just makes it better. Leave CGI for kiddie films. (Excuse the pun, even though TMNT is considered kiddie )

You're kidding right?

Right?

Please tell me you're kidding.

Someone please tell me he is kidding!
