Star Wars sound effect

Well this should definitely cement my geek status. Not sure if this has been posted yet. Did anyone notice that a Stat Wars blaster sound effect was featured on the phaser shoot out on the Narada (a couple a mins after Kirk and Spock beamed aboard). I could be wrong, but considering Ben Burtt (?sp?) did the sound effects, I am pretty sure I heard it

I wouldn't be surprised if an ILM guy pulled a stunt like that.

Well that sound was also in Trek V.

I was thinking the sound the Jellyfish made was very reminiscent of a Star Wars sound.

That was deliberate per an article I just read, b/c these phasers shoot Star Wars-style "bolts" rather than TOS "beams". So Burtt used a modified blaster sound.
