Star Wars Rebels Season Four (spoilers)

Well, this does leave an opening for her to come to the rescue since she does sort of know what is going down on Lothal.

Or a clever way out, for Ezra to "disappear" in the Force. before Luke shows up at Yavin IV.

Make you wonder what the next cartoon project will be?

Since the thread is clearly marked SPOILERS do we really need all the code? Asking for a friend.

Let your friend know that Canada (and presumably other countries) are getting these new final Rebels episodes a week later - so just a little courtesy for those experiencing displaced airdate syndrome. They may come here expecting not to be spoiled by the most recent episode (and they would be spoiled that way through no fault of their own). Lol @ Disney XD.... here's the airing schedule for the Canucks:
  • Monday, March 5, 2018: Wolves and a Door at 9 p.m. ET and A World Between Worlds at 9:30 p.m. ET
  • Monday, March 12, 2018: A Fool’s Hope at 9 p.m. ET and the season finale Family Reunion – and Farewell at 9:30 p.m. ET
Hopefully the new series won't be too long a wait for deployment. I would love to see something post Solo release for the wait to Episode IX but I guess it's more likely said series will debut after Episode IX. I bet we won't hear about anything new TV or film-wise until Solo premieres at least.

I adore Ahsoka and admittedly it would be cool if she were featured in the next series... although for those fans wanting "a show about Ahsoka..." wasn't that show called, The Clone Wars? I recall seeing a lot of her adventures in that show.

So the series finale trailer has given us another Legends ship, the Dreadnaught-class heavy cruiser

Just had a second viewing and noticed a few extra "voices" that I didn't before. Interestingly, they seem to be contextually relevant to what's going on in the scenes. Here's what I caught so far: -

Kanan: "You wanna ride?"
Zeb: "You don't know us."
Ezra : "And I don't want to!"
Kanan: "I lost my way for a long time, but now, I have a chance to change things."
Hera: "We have hope. Hope that things can get better, and they will."
Kanan: "That was a mistake."
Grand Inquisitor: "Why? because you have no one left to die for you?"
Kanan: "No, because I have nothing left to fear."
Ahsoka: "This is a new day, a new beginning."
Kanan: "There's a cost for any action we take now Ezra."
Kanan: "Things are getting worse, just as they did back when I was your age. But back then there were ten thousand Jedi Knights protecting the galaxy. Now..."
Ezra: "There's just you and me."

Daughter: "We are the ones who guard the power. We are the middle, the beginning, and the end." (as Ezra opens the portal)

Yoda: "Truly wonderful, the mind of a child is."
Obi-Wan: "What is this place?"
Qui-Gon: "A conduit through which the entire force of the universe flows..."
Yoda: "Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter."
Ahsoka: "Just when you think you understand the Force, you find out how little you actually know."
Yoda: "Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose."
Obi-Wan: "What you need, you already have. Unfortunately, you seem to be letting it all go."
Kanan: "I won’t let him lose his way, not like I did."
Obi-Wan: "The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together."

Yoda: "Rejoice for those around you..."
Maz: "Dear child, I see your eyes. You already know the truth."
Chirrut:"I'm one with the Force and the Force is with me."
Jyn: "The time to act is now!"
Kylo: “Show me...”
Rey: “We’ll see each other again...”
Kylo: “...grandfather...”
Rey: “...I believe that.”
The Father: "...and know the truth..."
Kylo: “...and I will finish...”
Anakin: “I won’t lose you Padme!”
Kylo: “...what you started”
Poe: "...will not be intimidated by you."
Daughter: "...it is his nature"
Maz: The belonging you seek is not behind you..."
Leia: "This is our most desperate hour."
Yoda: "...the shadow of greed, that is."
Leia: "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope."
Anakin: "You never would have made it as Obi-Wan’s padawan, but you might make it as mine."

Vader: "Obi-Wan once thought as you do..."
Vader: "You don't know the power of the dark side."

Daughter: "I am daughter." (as Morai lands on Ahsoka's arm)

Kanan: "Wanna ride?"
Kanan: "You can learn what it truly means to be a Jedi."
Kanan: "Kid, I'm about to let everyone in on the secret."
Kanan: "I survived one war. I'm not ready for another one."
Kanan: "Battles leave scars, some you can't see."

Son: "The future, by its nature, can be changed." (as Ezra closes the portal)

Kanan: "The Force will be with you, always."

So, what does it mean for the guy falling down into the hole? Clearly we were meant to see it as the scene not only cut to that, but felt the need to let us know what happened to him.
He's dead and buried. Literally.
Well, Ezra did not return to the exact same moment he left. He returned minutes or hours later. Time continued to flow for him. It stands to reason time continued to flow for Asoka the same. As for why she never left Malachor... It might be as simple as she has no ship to do so. She is stranded until rescue.
Maul left in an Inquisitor TIE, so his original ship is probably still there and thus it's possible Ahsoka might get it working again. There may even be ancient Jedi & Sith vessels left there since the battle.

Well, The Clone Wars was an anthology show with continuing characters, and Ahsoka was in some ways the most central one, because she was an original character who was capable of growth, unlike Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, and the rest, who had to remain static or only change toward where they were at the start of ROTS. But the same goes for some of the recurring Clone Trooper characters like Rex, Fives, and the like. They took the show's title to heart and did a lot with the actual clones. There's also the fact that Ahsoka was written out of the series at the end of season 5 and there was one more season -- and another unfinished season -- after her departure.

So a show in which Ahsoka was actually the main character, in the same way that Ezra is in Rebels, would be different.

In light of this, then it's possible that

Asoka has had any number of missions on her own in the big wide galaxy and simply hasn't crossed paths with the Rebels on Lothal in the intervening years. She need not be a recluse.

But that does explain her absence in Episodes IV-VIII

For me that goes back to "A World Between Worlds" where Ezra
tells Asoka to come find them. He puts her back in the the point of time the Vader fight happened. So, she either purposefully ignores him and deviates or something/something's set her back. She knows they need help now, she knows now Kana is dead. There better be a pretty gosh darn good reason for her waiting all this time.

I'd say the reason is pretty obvious.
Assuming the timeline isn't fixed -- and the show makers' comments in Rebels Recon would suggest it isn't and change is possible -- then if she came to the Ghost crew at any point before Ezra went into the Temple and rescued her, then she'd risk changing history in a way that prevented Ezra from rescuing her. So her own survival depends on staying away from the Ghost crew until after the events of "A World Between Worlds."

The Ghost is still on Yavin, or is Rex bringing it to Lothal next week? Or do we have our out, so to speak with very recent events.

Or course there is also the old style "Dreadnought" mentioned earlier in the thread, which was an old West End Games designed ship that featured heavily in the first Thrawn trilogy of novels.

This a great video showing off the voices heard in the the episode with overlays of clips of the scenes they're from

My god Star Wars fans are just, some of the worst.

The latest Rebels Recon episode, there is a ROTJ poster just barely on screen with Luke's head crossed out, and people are bitching about it on twitter.

Andi chimed in say the poster was on a cubical of an Imperial fan and it was a joke, they still act like it's a LucasFilm conspiracy, also saying that PR shouldn't have let that in there, etc etc.

Everything has a bunch of shit-heel fans that have no sense of perspective.

[Reads said tweet/s]

...That said, what a bunch of shit-heels with no perspective.

Anyone else notice that there was a fourth doorway that the camera lingered on? Given that the other three had designs that represented their exit points, I wonder where this one led? It is animation after all, so things like that are always quite deliberate. Could be one of the various Force nexus sites we've seen already, or something that'll crop up in some later story they're still developing.

Speaking of which...
...the one Palpatine appeared in had a decidedly "Sithy" appearance, which to me indicates two things: it probably links to the Sith shrine under the Jedi Temple, and that the vision of Kanan's death wasn't "real", but a projection by Sideous to tempt Ezra closer to his part of the pathways. Temptation is very much part of his M.O. after-all and it did seem as though he needed to pull Ezra in from the other side to unlock his gateway.

P.S. Anyone else get a 'Prince of Darkness' vibe from that scene?

The problem with the Internet is, there's no filter. Back in the days when fandom communicated through magazine letter columns, there were editors to filter out the crazy and hateful stuff.
