I agree with what Filoni said about it ending. Better to end on your own terms instead of what happened with Clone Wars.

No question. But they either have to do that or send him out on Outbound Flight. I'd rather see a definitive conclusion to the character here.

Some observations i've made from the trailer

U-Wing, X-Wings (With Hera and Chopper in lead), Bo Katan,Rukh, Yavin and Rebel Kalus. A ship blowing up in a Kyber crystal green explosion, and Tanks from Rogue One. I also noticed a TIE Defender with Red markings

That was brilliant, of all the trailers I've seen for both Rebels and Clones Wars before hand, I don't think any of them have been bad.

Hopefully the new animation that will appear afterwards will either be during the OT or after Jedi.

Someone pointed this out on another forum, during the panel Dave Filoni changed his 'Ahsoka Lives?' shirt to an 'Ahsoka Lives!' shirt while the trailer was playing.
You can rewind the Stream on youtube and spot it.

There will be more. The 3D art department is viable.

I noticed there were two different models for the U-wing One with only the lower engines flying around the construction platforms. And another with all four engines attacking the light cruiser.

I'm guessing any follow-up will be post-ROTJ. The ongoing Star Wars comic is handling the time between ANH and ESB very well and there really isn't a ton of time for stories between ESB and ROTJ. The timeline after that point is rife for stories.

Or they may do something crazy like go back before the saga. Who knows?

You're right. I wonder if that is a product of WIP animation, or an actual separate model.

If this is the last season, then either it's going to cover more time than a single year, or it's not going to dovetail with Rogue One after all.

I'm going to guess most of the trailer footage is from the first half of the Season.
