What's wrong with everyone in the galaxy knowing the Death Star was designed by the Separatist Geonosians? It'd make a great propaganda coup to announce the capture of the designs for such a powerful weapon, and poetic justice to build it in defense of the new Empire instead of as a weapon against the Empire.
