Um, Luke certainly did care that his Uncle and Aunt were killed.
Yeah, for like 4 minutes. He was more PO'ed over Ben "dying" than them.
With Owen gone he wouldn't get chewed out and could leave Tatooine.

Have you never seen real desert nomads before? 98-degrees < 150-degrees.A better question would be why on a desert planet one would wear heavy wool robes? Sure, the nights in a desert on earth can get chilly, but druing the day as we see in the SW movies? Anikan, Obi-won and Owen should've been sweating like Joe Don Baker in a cardiologist's office.
Why don't we ask these guys?A better question would be why on a desert planet one would wear heavy wool robes? Or maybe Ani really really really hated his step-brother and that's literally the last place in the galaxy he'd ever visit.
Probably not. Why would Obi-Wan tell them?So just how much did Owen and Beru know about Anakin anyway? In ANH they make a comment about Luke having "too much of his father in him," and given they let Luke keep the Skywalker name, I'm sure they knew he was Anakin's son. But did they actually know Anakin was Darth Vader?
Which puts a whole new level on the death of Owen and Beru: Payback and being royally pissed off about being around the planet.Or maybe Ani really really really hated his step-brother and that's literally the last place in the galaxy he'd ever visit.
If I remember correctly that is exactly...well...not exactly but the reason. Tattooine holds too bad of memories for Anakin and he doesn't want to go back there, IIRC

"Oh by the way, adopt this kid...and his dad? He's your pyschopath stepbrother, who's not a sith lord with a fucking chip on his shoulder and a imperial fleet.'
Given the prequels, they knew Anakin was fucking nuts and a bratty little douche. That's reason enough to discourage Luke from being like his father.
