Star Wars question - Uncle Owen

Luke just assumed those were their bodies.

I wanted to do a scene where he drives away, then the hut door opens and Owen and Beru step out.

"Where's Luke going?"

"Maybe those burnt sand people bodies scared him."

A better question would be why on a desert planet one would wear heavy wool robes? Sure, the nights in a desert on earth can get chilly, but druing the day as we see in the SW movies? Anikan, Obi-won and Owen should've been sweating like Joe Don Baker in a cardiologist's office.
Have you never seen real desert nomads before? 98-degrees < 150-degrees.

Why don't we ask these guys?

I believe they wear those clothing due to the dry winds that constantly blow across the deserts. It can irritate the skin

Owen being Obi-Wan's brother rather than Ani's step-brother sure makes more sense as a place to hide Luke. :wtf:

Or maybe Ani really really really hated his step-brother and that's literally the last place in the galaxy he'd ever visit.

So just how much did Owen and Beru know about Anakin anyway? In ANH they make a comment about Luke having "too much of his father in him," and given they let Luke keep the Skywalker name, I'm sure they knew he was Anakin's son. But did they actually know Anakin was Darth Vader?

Probably not. Why would Obi-Wan tell them?

"Oh by the way, adopt this kid...and his dad? He's your psychopath stepbrother, who's now a Sith lord with a fucking chip on his shoulder and a imperial fleet.'

Given the prequels, they knew Anakin was fucking nuts and a bratty little douche. That's reason enough to discourage Luke from being like his father.

If I remember correctly that is exactly...well...not exactly but the reason. Tattooine holds too bad of memories for Anakin and he doesn't want to go back there, IIRC
Which puts a whole new level on the death of Owen and Beru: Payback and being royally pissed off about being around the planet.

Looking for sense in the writing of the Star Wars films can cause headaches and dementia.

Yep, the novel Rise of Darth Vader and the Episode 3 novelization both suggest that.
