I really don't get everyone saying that is Leia's voice at the end of the trailer. It sounds to me like the same distinct accent we heard from Lupita earlier on.

Wow. Not sure about the overall order, but they did an amazing job editing all the Falcon and X-Wing sequences together.

The thing I noticed that they got the most out of order was the bit with the Knights of Ren and the Stormtroopers attacking the village at night and setting it aflame that comes about 3/4ths of the way in, because that's the incident that ultimately causes Finn to reject being a Stormtrooper and to blast his way off the Star Destroyer after rescuing Poe. So that should come earlier in the trailer before the damaged TIE fighter is seen falling from away from the Star Destroyer in orbit toward Jakku and Finn meets Rey for the first time.

But it's a minor quibble compared to seeing all the footage woven together like that, and seeing the full Falcon fight sequence on Jakku and the awesome X-Wing attack, like you mentioned.

Why would anyone have their first view of the trailer be on a frickin 4.5 inch phone screen, though?

Because it was 10:00am and I was out on the road for work.

So, since I couldn't wait, I pulled over and plugged my phone into the audio jack and turned the car stereo up to 60.

I got some curious glances from passersby as I sat there, tears streaming down my face, music blaring.


Fuck 'em.

Personally I hope Rey and Finn aren't related to anybody we know from the OT, and that the fact their last names have been withheld so far is nothing but a misdirect.

Well assuming Finn has a last name. Between the whole line implying he was raised to be a Stormtrooper and Finn being speculated as a name they got from his Stormtrooper ID number, The First Order might just might just be conscripting very young children and not even bothering to give them names before training them and using them as soliders/canon fodder.

If you are obsessive and want to look at every screen shot here you are.

Here's a random thought - we assume that the final shots of the trailer are of Finn and Kylo duking it out samuarai style. But what if Finn turns on the lightsaber to see who's approaching him in the dark, discovers its Kylo, and as you can see from the last screenshot is terrified when Kylo turns on his blade? Maybe it isn't a duel as much as it is a slaughter?

Yes.

Finn might even need saving.......by somebody MUCH more adept at using a lightsabre and who's stronger with the Force........right?

Presumeably this is when Kylo Force mind rapes him.

The X-Wings over the water are edited in the incorrect order. The S-foils opening should be the first shot, obviously.

I must say I'm not happy with the fact that they're basically recycling Hoth, and Tattooine (Jakku).

I hate 3D and I wish it would go away but sadly until they have a new premium thing, this is what we have. And its what is going to be the opening movie big thing. Case in point: I want to see this movie in IMAX. I don't want to see it in 3D. I don't think the two things are mutually exclusive any longer in most circumstances. My fiancee and I have seen one flick in 3D IMAX this year -- Avengers 2.

You sound like the people who were against color and sound being added to movies.

Color and sound added to the movie experience. 3D doesn't, it distorts the image and you have to wear uncomfortable glasses to see it. If people want to see it then fine but give other people a choice not to. I don't like paying for something I don't want to see.

Besides possibly going to Endor, Bespin, and Yavin-4, I'm wondering if the desert world is in fact Tatooine and the snow world is in fact Hoth. Maybe Tatooine got renamed for some reason, and maybe Hoth was one of the surviving Imperial strongholds.
