Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

Or that any revived, future Sith Order couldn't do away with the Rule of Two for practical purposes and have just one member at a time or multiple Sith Lords and apprentices serving under one Master. Now that Vader and The Emperor are gone any new adherent to the philosophy could rewrite the old rules if they saw fit and it served their purposes.

Right, but it would take time for something like that to form. Unless Palpatine and Vader's demise created a power vacuum and suddenly all sorts of new Sith creeped out of the woodwork.

^
Which, hey, you never know. 30 years is equivalent to almost the entire Prequel and Dark Times period in the movie chronology and that could be more than enough time for anybody with the Dark Side powers and the will to try to revive the Sith Order.

This is sci-fi and fantasy so it doesn't have to conform to what we consider sensible timeframes of progress in the real world. ;)

Who is the chrome storm trooper?

or Chrometrooper

Captain Phasma, played by actress Gwendolyn Brooks.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm actually trying to be more serious, but didn't the Emperor have a rather large group of force sensitive servants that were his special agents through out the Empire? I'd imagine they wouldn't give up on the dark side just because their leader was gone.

Not anything on screen that I recall, and books don't count anymore.

I'm not saying that there wouldn't be dark force people out there. I'm just wondering if any of them are powerful and motivated enough to become big bad Sith Lords.

You're right, though it's not really books but games I'm thinking of. TIE Fighter's Secret Order of the Emperor is one of the things I'm thinking of. And Forces of Corruption had a bunch of force guys in the Emperor's palace. And there were those nasty force users that rode rancors, Nightsisters or something, I forgot. But you're right none of that may "exist" anymore, if it ever did.

Thanks, Timby.

Considering how little of her acting work I've even seen let's just be glad I got her first name correct. ;)

If TCW is still canon, I believe the Nightsisters still exist.

Didn't Dooku wipe them out?

Yeah, it's still canon. 100% so.

They still officially exist, unless as mentioned above they were killed off by Count Dooku or another character.

I looked up the actress on google an they are actually calling her a chrome trooper on Wikipedia. Wow. I'm suddenly more interested in this movie. I don't know why, but I really want to see more about Captain Phasma. I hope she isn't like Darth Maul. Just there and gone. Did he have like one line? I don't mind him not saying anything during fights or that kind of thing, but he really didn't have much of anything else.

Darth Maul was the PT's biggest missed opportunity. He should have survived and replaced Dooku in the other two movies. There's absolutely no reason those two couldn't have been the same character.

So yeah, I hope this new trilogy doesn't make similar mistakes.

Well, I liked Dooku, because of Christopher Lee, not that name.

But if he was Darth Tyrannus, did Sidious recruit him right after Maul was gone? It seems like he could have had more than one follower.

Abrams taking a page out of Leni Riefenstahl's book.

Whose the dude with the silver Vader helmet?

Absolutely not. There was no substance to him other than being a big bad brooding Sith with a doubed edged lightsaber. With Dooku (a fallen jedi) and even Grievous (a cyborg with jedi trophies) there was at least something to their character.

According to the old Expanded Universe or at least the Darth Plagueis novel. Darth Maul was never actually a real apprentice (since Plagueis only dies after the end of TPM) and Dooku is actually his first apprentice who he recruits after he becomes Supreme Chancellor.

Captain Phasma (Gwendolyn Christie). That's just the reverse angle on her chrome-finish Stormtrooper helmet.

You're welcome. :) Every once in a while my vast knowledge of practically useless geek information proves itself to be practical.
