Star Wars: Episode VII: The Nerd Rage Awakens

I would hope we see some of the lightsaber duel, mabe part of a dogfight, Rey supposedly has a River Tam/Xena style fight scene against some stormtroopers and the knights of ren, I would like to see some of that if it actaully happens in the film. And I would like to hear some dialogue adnd I would like to see Poe, Rey and Finn together in a scene.

I would like to see more of Poe, period.

Also, I'm hoping Rey as an amazing fight with that staff. She looks like she is going to be quite combative.

Maybe she lunges with it after an impressive warm-up spin, and a baddie with a red lightsaber simply lops it off at about the midsection.

I could see that happening. No need to make a big show with that stick. She's only had it in every promo shot :techman:

Or Han gets tired of waiting for her to finish, pulls out his blaster and pops her in the leg. Hey, whether she turns out to be his daughter or not, sometimes Harrison Ford has to lay down the law and get stuff done. ;)

Some thoughts:

1: Nice juxtaposition of Kylo's lightsaber and Rey's staff.
2: Oh, Leia IS in this movie after all. (And with a fancy Naboo-style hairdo.) I was starting to wonder.
3: No Luke, but that's understandable given what we know (so far) of the plot.
4: Aren't you a little lightsaber-proficient for a stormtrooper?
5: The hell is that beside Artoo??
6: DEATH STAR III!!!!

38 years later, Leia still has a ridiculous do.

While I'm not surprised with our original trio getting top billing, I'm a little surprised that Driver is credited before the new heroes. Makes me think his role is a bit more complicated than we've been led to believe.

Love the poster.
I am a disappointed but not surprised by the lack of Mark Hamill.
It's got a great combination of new and old elements.

LOL - It's out there mate. You just need to know where to look.

Sure, we can put together quite a bit from what's out there, but there still hasn't been much revealed officially.

Pretty cool poster, even if I've never been that crazy about SW posters that try to cram in nearly every character and ship and alien that appears.

But it does give us a lot of new things to analyze, which is nice. The thing that jumps out the most to me is probably Fisher, who looks pretty darn good there and a lot more like Leia than I would have ever thought possible.

And while I'm not bothered at all by the use of another super weapon, I have to admit I am a bit surprised to see one that is so obviously reminiscent of the Death Star. I figured they would try to downplay the similarities a lot more than that.

Gwendolyn Christie isn't credited, but Max von Sydow is. :vulcan:

Glad to see they didn't leave out Michael Arndt.

EDIT:

Goddammit.. i still get the chills whenever Luke's Theme plays (Binary Sunset, the scene when Luke is on Tatooine and we see the twin Suns).

Ticket sales start tomorrow and i'll be refreshing the movie theater's site quite often starting with 9am ;)

EDIT:

Wow, very cool. Although it suggests this will be another montage of beautifully shot, dialogue-free moments that doesn't really tell us much about the actual plot.

Which I'm perfectly okay with, but I know will probably annoy others out there.
