Don't know. SNL doesn't exactly have a J.J. Abrams budget to shoot these skits and short films, but maybe they digitally composited an actual rolling ball with a digitally-rendered droid head.

That was awesome. The only thing missing was Bill Hader.

He should be in one of the next Star Wars movies as a background alien with a few lines. With his distinctive voice and rubbery facial talents they really wouldn't have to put much makeup on the guy to create a convincing humanoid.

Yeah I'd say Rey Solo has a pretty good ring to it.

And I assume the droid will probably just be called "BeeBee" for short.

I think people have almost made a bigger deal out of that than the names themselves.
Although now we do know that at least part of the rumors about Daisy Ridley's character aren't true. So that leaves to question of whether just the name was wrong or if the whole rumor was wrong.
I do like the names though, and it's nice get names to go with faces, even if we don't know the significance of those faces.

Yeah it's definitely a bit surprising. Most of the rumors so far had the Finn, Rey, and Stormtrooper stuff happening at the very beginning of the movie. Not to mention the Falcon sequence.

Unless everything in the teaser actually just takes place within the first act of the movie...

And kinda strange that the two X-Wing shots are actually separated in the movie and not together.

Not sure what other "significance" there could be. People on the forcenet boards tried matching them up with cards from the other movies, but couldn't find any real pattern.

Maybe it's how many minutes each one is in the movie?

Kylo Ren - ugh.

I love Star Wars but they have the stupidest names anywhere. Han. Luke. Leia. Lando. These are real people names. Kylo? Rey? Poe? Ugh.

On the other hand, naming the ball droid BB is frickin' awesome cuz my last name is Beebe
