Guys both to @JD and @Smiley. Smiley beat me to it. Look at ereaderiq to see the ups and downs of the prices on ebooks.
Guys these prices last at least at three week intervals. But please do not underestimate the prices as being permanent. They are not. Look at the prices jump on an ebook like Jedi vs Sith it was $5 its now higher at $15.
So no the prices are not permanent ever. Use ereaderiq and track the prices.
It seems like certain ebooks with stay at a low price for awhile, but I can guarantee you the publisher is doing this to permanently RAISE prices mostly from $5.99 originally in 2011 when some were released to $7.99 for the longest time to $8.99 or $9.99 or even higher some as high as $12.99 probably permanently.
Its the same for Star Trek as well, ebooks are selected at a sale price of .99 cents or $3.99 for a bit. Then the prices mostly surpass the old price.
I think personally the publishers now want all ebooks at $15 old ebooks or new. But its a hard sell to sell a newly released ebook at $15, and at the same time a 10 year old ebook at $15 as well.
I hope Im wrong. But I feel this is what is happening with ebook prices now guys.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
