Star Wars comic, what the hell is going on?

A friend in work showed me the page, which I now can't find through Google.

Spoiler: Basically...

Vader is inspecting/giving orders to some Stormtroopers. When they're dismissed, one remains to say "Happy Birthday" to Vader, which the big fellow pauses to consider.

Please do spoil the plot of this one, so that I may discern just what the hell that was all about

It's from the Star Wars Tales series, which takes place mostly outside of continuity. As I recall, this story has the stormtrooper discover that the reason Vader is acting so irritable that day is because it's his birthday, and nobody has remembered it.

Stormtroopers, the only fictional evil mooks I can remember having any sympathy or empathy for.
