^ I recall reading that Hayden Christensen expressed an interest in reprising Vader.

I read that too. Vader should appear maybe in the season premieres and season finales, but it would make more sense to have Vader not be expected to show up at those times, then it would be a surprise

And Hayden isn't Vader.

Well, I think if it really did come down to it, that Vince McMahon could sort this out for us at the next Wrestlemania.

Althoguh it's quite obvious that Jim would just mash that little bastard.

In the live-action series? How is that even possible? At that point he'd be a guy in a suit with James Earl Jones's voice. What could Christensen contribute? (Is David Prowse still around?)

Then again, if he were hidden inside a suit and we didn't have to hear his voice, that wouldn't really be a bad thing...

Well, it was Hayden in the suit at the end of the third movie.

It was literally retarded how much of a fanwank Lucas and his monkeys made of the scene in the DVD commentary.

Questions like this make me wish that the Internet had some sort of... hmmm... "movie database" where you could look up information on actors and others involved in film production. An internet movie database, maybe... :borg:

David Prowse wanted to do it, but I think he has surgery when they were filming it with Hayden Christensen

I remember one of those behind the videos scenes on StarWars.COM had Hayden in an interview and he said that he protested to George because they were going to have someone else in the suit and then it was reworked so he could be in it.

Off topic, but here is an article on how Star Wars can save the bluray dvd formats, also mentions the Alien films

Interesting. I don't have a blu-ray player or PS3 and have no immediate plans to get one. I'm content with the upconverting DVD player I own currently. However if the SW movies were to be released on BD tomorrow, I'd be buying a player tonight.

Yes I'm a Lucas kool-aid drinker. :)

Now even if you watched the Big bang theory the other night where they ripped this toon a new one, you have to record and pause the Chuck Lorrie productions vanity after word they post during the last seconds of the credits, which they also do for two and a half men and Greg and Dharma that i have noticed... I'll google it now....

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #227

Dear George Lucas,

May I call you Mr. Lucas? On behalf of the writers of The Big Bang Theory, I would like to thank you for your astounding body of work, which has awakened the child within us and unleashed our dreams. That being said, we hope you don't take offense at our good-natured jest regarding your most recent animated efforts. Yes they were cheap shots, but we can't help but hold you to a higher standard -- a standard of your own making. In closing, we are all looking forward to Indiana Jones 5 - The Curse of the Golden Catheter. Oops, sorry again.

Very truly yours,

The Writers

P.S. To William Shatner, director of Star Trek 5. Go ahead, sue us.

I still only get standard dvd's, the Blu Ray discs' are too damn expensive and my standard dvd player is new

This series continues to get better and better. I do wonder, however, how many times Greivous can fly off in failure before he gets the big smackdown from Dooku or Sidious.Mark

My thoughts exactly. Although he definitely appeared to have done some real serious damage to the Republic fleet in the "Malevolence" trilogy his record of failure does seem pretty damning and makes you wonder why he wasn't "punished" or demoted although, of course, in addition to his military victories against the Republic fleet, he racked up quite a number of Jedi "kills" (hence his "collection" of lightsabers). Also, the war was engineered by that Machiavellian genius- Palpatine- who successfully managed to keep BOTH sides (Republic & Separatist armies) from ever holding a decisive "edge" against the other in terms of victories and losses without even Dooku or Grievous (apparently) being aware that they were, ultimately, little more than pawns in Palpatine's well-laid plans to assume full control of the galaxy.

On a lighter note: I thought it was hilarious on the last "Malevolence" episode when Grievous "hung up" on Dooku after he lost the ship.

He was just silly not to kill Palpatine before Palpatine killed him.

They're in a race to kill each other.

He lost, but he knew it was the way of the Sith.

Which really must suggest that Sith Lords get something out of having apprentices other than training their own murderers?

Maybe they leak metachlorienes?

^ Reminds me of that scene from Frasier with the guy who always screams "What do I look like, the building lackey?"

^ The scenes in ROTS are among the best when Dooku realizes he was played all along.

I don't know if you like novelizations or not but Matthew Stover's novelization of ROTS REALLY captured Dooku's reaction to Palpatine's sudden betrayal well -it also describes the trap that Sidious and Dooku had laid for Anakin and Obi-Wan (before Palpatine completely pulled the rug out from under Dooku of course)
