Star Trek's "Top Men Warehouse"

You don't want to be taking that stuff, it'll make you sterile through long term exposure.
Rapid Aging is also another side-effect.

Only those species who were super long natural life-spans like a Lanthanite that already happened to be Sterile would have nothing really to lose by taking this over & over.

Platonian TK Pills (Kironide)
It would make a great Weapon that a bad guy's faction would use to give his people/henchmen ESPer Powers.
Especially if they don't care about the side-effects.

According to the Star Fleet Medical Reference Manual, (pages 18, 35) kironide was an element, symbol Ki. It had the atomic weight 345 and atomic number 139. It was first discovered on Vulcan. When ingested, pituitary hormones broke down the kironide compound. While kironide compounds were researched by Starfleet Medical, they were found to have no real clinical use, as the hormones had a half-life of only 10 to 30 minutes in the bloodstream.
β Content suggest that Kironide
According to the novel The Higher Frontier, Kirk and Spock had to endure a week of nasty aftereffects from kironide poisoning and chelation therapy, thus explaining why kironide was never used again.

My vocabulary has expanded a little since the first time I saw this movie in the 1970s.

Is the "Top Men Warehouse" next door to the "Power Bottom Warehouse"?

No, it's riffing on the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark

So what would be stored in the secret Federation warehouse in the Star Trek era that we only saw in one episode?

You've never seen a movie 20 times, and suddenly you see something new on the 21st viewing?

Yes, I know that it's highly unlikely that there was a secret government warehouse in the 1930s that only hired homosexuals, but it's not entirely impossible.

Though in fairness, "top men" (or rather, "Tops") needn't be Queer, and "power bottoms" definitely aren't exclusively so. Both terms have meaning in the Kink community too.
