Mirror Universe George. Kirk is torn between his image of his father and the irredeemable monster his father is in the MU.

Mirror George Kirk showing no mercy to the anti-Terran coalition led by Vulcans, Romulans, Klingons, & the Gorn.

Meanwhile, Spock deals with the same thing with mirror Amanda Grayson.

And the USS Enterprise-A crew deals with the quartet of:

- ISS Kelvin (Captain George Kirk)
- ISS Enterprise (Captain Robau)
- ISS Vengeance (Emperor Pike or Empress Carol Marcus)
- ISS Franklin (Captain Balthazar Edison; Terran Empire reversed the energy transference effect to give Edison his life back; reversed engineered the Altamid discoveries as a weapon against the anti-Terran coalition).

Works for me and nice to see you back. I really mean that.

idea. what if the next film has the enterprise somehow find particles of red matter, and ends up going into a black hole, causing a plot where the enterprise is sent to a point in the prime reality and has to find out how to get back to their own time,

a twist could be the enterprise encounters one of the many antagonists from one of the older shows, causing even more of a need to escape that point in time, before time really gets screwed up

It could make for a very interesting movie.

Which antagonist would they meet though?

I was thinking about Spock and Uhura having a kid again, and I still think that would be a neat element. I don't know if there is any media of Spock being a parent, like a comic or book but definitely not so far in live action. Spock being a dad and dealing himself with a kid with emotions just seems like such a logical story progression. Quinto and Saldana being parents could be fun. Would people accept kids on a TOS-era ship though? One of the things that I see a lot with ideas about if people could change TNG is throwing out the families and kids. Is there ever a point where families are okay on a ship? I think you could get away with two kids.
In the books, Spock adopted Saavik and raised her as a kid.

But that wouldn't be consistent with the way red matter black holes work in ST09.

Probably not what fans of the Kelvin timeline (and the interesting potential future it had) want to hear...

I would like to see -

A film that picks up not long after Beyond - showing the reboot universe heading for total collapse due to fall-out from Nero creating divergence events. The Federation without Vulcan's influence is facing destruction by the Romulan Star Empire, and it's all because of 24th Century tech and knowledge taken from the Narada and ending up in unscrupulous hands. Star Trek 2009 began partly inspired by "Yesterday's Enterprise" but without the traditional reset at the end, allowing new open-ended futures not tied to existing canon. Well, the concept never really flourished (not so much reimagining but rather retreading stuff in comic books, relying on Khan again for the sequel, having more in common with Enterprise for the third) and it's time to set a course that converges it back with the Original Series>Movies>Next Gen chain of events.

An ending to their fourth film that keeps the recast actors, but relocates them as their Prime Universe selves, with the possibility of using them again to show missing adventures set between the Motion Picture and The Wrath of Khan.

Strange New Worlds shows that you can have your cake and eat it. There's nothing wrong with bending the rules of a prequel, and taking liberties in all sorts of ways with how Star Trek looks as a production - just as long as the characters end up where they need to be at the end. Even then, inventive storytelling can subvert certain relationships and ultimate fates into being not quite what we assumed they were.

Discovery season 4 established that the Kelvin timeline was involved in the 30th century Temporal Wars and still exists in the 32nd.

"From an alternate timeline created by the incursion of a Romulan mining ship" or words to that effect.

I like the idea, although IDK if it gets off the ground; Trek tends to avoid open conflict involving the Federation and the Romulans in terms of interstellar powers (as opposed to rogues like Nero). I think it only happened in SNW as it was an alternate timeline.

That might clash with any ideas to use some of the SNW actors in a Phase II type show.

Horrible thought: what if TREK emulated AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR instead?

Because after destroying Vulcan AND the Enterprise in three movies, the only way to outdo INFINITY is to multiply it by two......meaning, eliminate the Earth ENTIRELY, with better special effects than BENEATH THE PLANET OF THE APES.............and make it absolutely irrevocable. How many times must you save the world, anyway?

Cheery thought.
