Star Trek XI works well on dvd!

I know a guy who is related to a guy in New York and he was able to get a dvd of the movie down here to Oklahoma and I watched the movie on tv and I got to say that the new Trek movie is not going to be one of those movies that loose something in the transition from movie screen to tv. Granted my copy wasn't very well produced and the official dvd will only look better but I can tell you that the movie still works. There are only two moments that I felt hurt by not being seen at a movie theater is the shot of Nero's ship coming throught the time portal and the final longshot were you see all the shuttlcrafts from a distance. I missed the size and scope that you see these images at the movie theater. The good thing though is alot of the action scenes, actually work better though for the most part because there less confusing to look at on tv.

Does anyone actually take this guy seriously any more or give him the attention he so obviously craves?

He's one of the most entertaining people on the board and he is neither negative in the general or bitchy in the specific. So, yeah.

What? How does my desire to have ever trekbbs member worshiping me as a God, or trembling in fear of what could happen if they offend me, impact my opinion on the new movie? It's simply a good movie that will work on tv, almost as much as it did, at the movie theater.

Jayson, how big is your television screen? I wonder if a big TV will improve those two examples.

Not sure how big exactly but it is a bigscreen tv. I think it's a 44 inch. I should have mentioned that. Now I am curious as to how it will play on smaller tv's. I might stick it in my computer later and shee how it looks.

Speaking of which I want to add that Transformer's II, also works well on tv. In fact it proably will work even better, because you can fast forward through the boring stuff and get to the robots fighting each other. Only problem was Megan Fox doesn't look quite as hot but I think that has more to do with the bad picture quality and color on the dvd's. When I get the legit dvd I asume she will go back to looking sexy. Thing is the robots actually looked kind of better, with the bad picture quality. It might seem wierd but i think it's possible that there is to much color in the "Transformer's" movies. The action scenes, seemed less confusing than they do sometimes on the movie screen.
