Star Trek XI WILL Be The Greatest Film Of All Time!

Ok, I'm going to start a positive thread about the film, although most of the threads here are positive, except, for a couple...

So who thinks Star Trek XI will be the greatest film of all time, or at least the greatest Star Trek film of all time? I too, was skeptical about recreating the original cast, but who knows, this could be the first odd numbered Trek film that will be a success! I got more into the film when I saw that most of the new actors resembled TOS characters in almost spitting image equality. I am also interested in seeing how they are going to recreate TOS 23rd Century. Is it going to be more like the series, or the movies, or a mixture of both like a lot of remakes are? So who's all excited about this movie?! :techman::cool:

Your work was apparently desperately needed, then.

Except for the black guy playing Scotty.

Mr. Cogley can now sleep soundly.

Finally.

But we must be ever-vigilant.

It is the price we must pay for being cynical, angst-ridden, and all around bitter.

It'll be as cheesy as a Vegas recreation.

Is it true that they are closing 'Star Trek: The Experience' in Vegas just so they can turn it into 'Battlestar Galactica: The Experience'? I heard they were just going to set fire to all the Star Trek stuff, and then when the embers cool, they will just change the name over and it will be ready to go.

They're having problems with the staff. The man they employed to cut all of the corners off the bits of paper has locked himself in the toilet to have a bit of a cry.

Someone said his scissors weren't up to it and he had a hissy fit.

It'll be good, but not as good as any of the movies with SHAT.

Of course, that goes without saying.

It can't be any worse than The Final Frontier or Nemesis, at any rate. Well, I shouldn't tempt fate.

I remain cautiously optimistic about XI. It might be great, it might not be. If it isn't though, Trek is doomed to enter another LONG dark age.

Hahaha. Nice.

LOL... great... so now instead of paying $15.00 for the colored vodka they call Romulan Ale, we'll be paying $15.00 for the colored vodka they'll be calling Ambrosia.

I think it could be damn good, and a start to something very good, and will show all those benighted souls who think TNG/VOY/first three seasons of ENT are good Trek why they've been setting their standards way too low all these years.

It will be as 'good' as Mission Impossible III and probably Superman Returns, both had flaws but delivered on many counts. From all reports, the producers are making it with the right sensibilites in mind and with a big enough budget to pull it off.

I hope you are right.

I do not need you, or the guys making this movie, to tell me what constitutes good Trek.

Aren't you supposed to be hiding so other Trek fans won't beat you up?
