Star Trek XI Toys??

For me it would be maybe the odd figure, more likely if there is a good replica of the Enteprise and possibly the Kelvin, could be persuaded to buy a phaser etc (god turning back into a child, I was like this last time I went to Forbidden Planet in Liverpool)
There is loads more stuff I would buy which arent toy related though, a decent visual guide with lots of set shots and concept art would be nice and an 'incredible cross sections' style book with the main ships and some of the locations, especially close ups of the Bridges, Engine rooms etc.
Im looking forward to that sort of merchandise which I hope will be out as much as Im looking forward to seeing a new begining for Star Trek on the big screen

I will buy them if they are good enough to warrant it.
Remember when Serenity was released and all the tie in merchandise was out? Those figures were fraking terrible. I mean really badly done, especially for a large scale budget movie and sci fi cult classic.

I was expecting something along the lines of Art Asylums quality when they were announced, but when you see the full factory run, they look terrible, worse than those publicity/prototype shots. I wanted Firefly/Serenity figures, but still havnt bought them becasue they just are not that great.
Now, i grew up with Playmates Star Trek stuff, and i remember the charicature likeness of the figures, and the inaccuracy of equipment and ships.
But, the only recent playmates stuff i have seen recently, regualr factory run items at least, are the futurama and simpsons figures/sets.
I just hope that they have got a better qualitiy to what they are known for, not as good as AA at leat, but good enough.
Heres hoping for the best.
