Is this from El Goonish Shive?

The collars look similar to DS9's Season 1 tunic collars. (also used for DS9's Valiant, and retconned for TNG's Tapestry, and Riker transporter duplicate episode).

It also opens in front. Maybe it folds over like Dress shirts?

Could we be seeing Star Trek "A Few Good Men" style?

Hooray for Star Trek: First Contact Colors. in ENT department color configuration.

Just to add my 10 cents to the madness:
If you look at the picture labeled by IESB as OSO_0137.jpg (it's the one with the two black guys staring right into the camera), the guy on the right with the hat looks like he has the vulcan/ romulan eyebrows. Won't lie, I think I'm getting just slightly excited for this!!!

Then you're looking for an argument. Submitting to whose logic?

Logic has no master. Logic is logic. From what has been presented so far, it is only logical to believe that Star Trek is a reboot.

J. Allen said:I also think it's exciting to be a Trekkie. I am very excited about the possibilities of this film. I'm also hoping for a resurgence in Trek's financial strength and popularity.

The only way to do that is a mainstream-friendly reboot. A "been there, done that" movie would not be profitable. It was a completely different thing with Star Wars. Enterprise proved without a shadow of a doubt that a Star Trek prequel was not wise if it fit in with established continuity. Knowing the destination makes the ride less adventurous.

Hmmm, I would consider a "reimagining" more than that. To me, a "reimagining" would be more along the line of taking the bare-bones concepts and characters and blazing a totally new trail with them ignoring what has come before beyond a wink and a nod here and there.

I don't feel that's the case with the new Star Trek movie at all. It is more of an update, with new actors, due to unfortunate reality that people age. All indication are the larger universe and "canon" is intact.

Frankly I think Enterprise even showed it can work, because "In a Mirror Darkly" is arguably fan favorite of the series, and the Defiant bridge in it looked great with minor updates. If they keep what makes Trek a shining beacon of what we could be they will be successful. I think people are hungry for a positive vision of the future, now more than ever.

Almost nothing has been presented so far. It'd be just peachy if you would go ahead and cite some specific examples. That would be logical, sir. Else, it'd be peachier still if you got off your high horse and stopped pretending to be smarter than the rest of us by pretending to know stuff that isn't out there to be known.

Which picture has the gold band on the sleeve? Also the asian girl has a starfleet single pip on her neck in the picture that shows her pants tucked in her boots and she has her hands raised up to her neck.

Now I can see it. It's the blonde two rows below that asian girl. I'm not sure if it's a rank pip or something else, though.

But those uniforms definitely look like 24th century uniforms ... :)

Well i cant believe they are actually making a new trek movie....and they are making it about my fav era....

Brilliant...I am just over the moon that Trek is now coming back.

Its going to be a long 12 months.

Why olive? That's my only question. ;)

As long as we get gold. Can't imagine Kirk running around in olive, people!

So are we going to have to calling this guys "Olive Shirts"?

Perhaps they're the waiters in the bar?

THIS and THIS look like they might be meant to ressemble the olive jumpsuit uniform from "The Cage," or perhaps the "This Side of Paradise" jumpsuit.

The problem I have is that the pants legs are to long to be in the Cage and WNMHGB time. Also they are loose fitting in several pics compared to their tight turtle necks. That would indicate a 2 piece uniform. Now the Asian girl clearly has tight fitting pants on as they hug her legs going into her boot. This makes me along with the rank pip on the picture on the blonds neck above on this page below Lt Hawk indicates 24th century.

It's OK, guys. Abrams can use any color shirts or pants leg he wants. It won't make any difference with canon.

Hell, we don't know if this real filming. At this point, this could all be still be for camera tests.
