Star Trek - $5.78 million on Wednesday
The Wednesday estimate for its domestic box office is $5,775,000, bringing the total estimate to $98,987,090. This represents an 11.2% drop from Tuesday, and is in line with the 11.7% drop Iron Man experienced on its first Wednesday and ahead of the $5.58 million Batman Begins earned (although it was its second Wednesday since it opened on a Wednesday).
As for the international box office, it increased $3.05 million Wednesday to $45,814,063.
The total worldwide box office is approximately $144.8 million.

Well Paramount's almost made their money back and it's still the first week. Pretty impressive.

Good, glad to see it's following Iron Man. Sure doesn't look like we will be getting much help from the internationals. Although it's still hard to tell with so many venues to have yet to release the movie.

Well it got another $6.50 from me yesterday afternoon. Had the day off for a doctor visit & knew I wouldn't get any rest @ home with my pup so I forced myself to go again. It was still as good as the last time I saw it.

Again, not impressed with this Weds number either. I have a sinking feeling the bottom is going to fall out this weekend with a 60% drop.

I'll be seeing it tonight with my co-worker and friend, Dan. Trek will only actually get money from Dan since the theater lets wheelchair users - such as yours truly - in for free. (It is a nationwide policy of Carmike Cinemas.)
However, I should add that I contributed $8.50 to Trek's box office with my first viewing, last Thursday at the Harkins in Sedona, AZ. No Carmikes in that area.
I'll be seeing it tonight with my co-worker and friend, Dan. Trek will only actually get money from Dan since the theater lets wheelchair users - such as yours truly - in for free. (It is a nationwide policy of Carmike Cinemas.)

Its doing better than Batman Begins, Iron Man and Wolverine! If you had said a ST movie would make $100 million in 7 days 7 years ago, they'd say you were crazy!

Not many people go see movies on Wednesdays.
I would suspect it'll be #1 again this weekend. I doubt A&D will have that large a draw.
