Saw this on a Trek board curious about the results here

  1. Stargate love the characters more
  2. Star Trek TNG & ENT were my favorites
  3. Star Wars loved the story

I really like all of them. Some parts more than others. Love the first two Stargates, universe really-really sucked. If they made a new Star Wars movie (live actors) I would go to see it first week.

Huge fan of Star Trek, moderate fan of Star Wars but never got into Stargate.

Stargate was good fun, but the characters in SG1 were cardboard cutouts. Atlantis was more of the same. Universe was really great and deserved more.

Star Wars changed my life - nothing will come close to its impact, but I lost interest a while ago, prequels, expanded universe etc - no.

Trek is my true love - always will be. DS9 particularly.

I'm a lifelong fan of Star Trek and will always love it.

I like Star Wars.

I followed Stargate, but lost interest somewhere around season 4, and never bothered with any of the sequels.

Love Star Trek (obviously).

Love Star Wars, but more as a childhood-love thing than an ongoing interest in the franchise.

Never seen Stargate.

Star Trek (TOS)-my favorite TV series. Enjoyed the movies, too. Novels--some good; some not.

Star Wars--Great movies (4,5,6). Good movies (1,2,3). Novels--some very good (Zahn, Stackpole); some ok; some not ok.

Stargate--the movie and all three shows were a lot of fun. Novels--never read any.

I am first and foremost a Star Trek fan. I have seen all the Star Wars film, but they have never had the impact on me that Star Trek has. I was kind of a latecomer to Stargate and really enjoyed SG-1 and Alantis, but never got into Universe.

1. Love Star Trek, duh!
2. Never cared much for Star Wars, though watched them all (animated excluded)
3. Liked Stargate SG-1 (up to end of season 8) and Universe very much, but watched a few Atlantis eps only.

1. Loved Trek from the first time I saw it, and have loved it ever since, although I'm not keen on the last movie... I don't have any Trek on DVD, other than a couple of the movies, cos I just couldn't afford to buy all the Trek series, and I couldn't make a Sophie's Choice

2. Was blown away by Star Wars, and became as obsessed as it was possible for me to be by it (my parents weren't into buying toys, so I missed out on all the merchandise), still am pretty much obsessed with the movies, and even went to America so I could see TPM first! Have all versions of the OT on VHS (original pan and scan, and widescreen editions) the first set of DVDs, and the next ones that had the special editions and the original versions, and now have the blu rays. Oh and I have the Family Guy versions as well and want to marry Seth McFarlane :D

3. Loved the Stargate movie, was delighted when I saw they were making a TV show, watched it, wasn't overly impressed, but stuck with it and it got better and better - bought the DVDs and re-watch them over and over, and watch the repeats on TV. I started watching SGA when it came on the telly, but didn't really pay huge interest in it, then I bought the Season 1 boxed set and watched it when I wasn't feeling well, and just fell madly in love with the show, I now have the first three seasons on DVD and when I'm not watching SG-1, I watch SGA. I didn't like what they did to SGA in seasons 4 and 5 and prefer to pretend they don't exist. Someone gave me the season 4 boxed set as a joke, so I smashed the disks and sent them the photos of me jumping up and down on them!! :guffaw:

I hated Stargate Universe. Disgrace to the name, pissed on everything that I loved about the other two series :scream:

ST of course... I'd never been so obsessed about anything when I first started to watch TNG. Now I'm obsessed with "True Blood".

SW is OK... I'm not really into the SW thing. For some reason it doesn't appeal to me at all. Must be the aliens...because IMO ST has far more interesting aliens.

I've never really watch SG. I always fall asleep every time I try to watch it. [chuckle]

Seriously, Stargate just was nowhere near as well written as Star Trek. Trek is in a totally different league.

Of course it's in a totally different league. Stargate never took itself as seriously as Trek did, nor were we the audience expected to take it completely seriously.

I love ST but I am not a die hard fan like many. I don't know show names and such. I didn't like Trek2009.

StarWars: I saw 4,5 and 6 then 1,2 then 3 I've read some books but never the animated stuff.

Stargate I have seen all of SG-1, All of Atlantis and though I hate to admit it I waited to see all of Universe. I liked ALL of SG-1 and non of the seasons stank. I like all of Atlantis and though I agree it could have gone on longer there just some shows that are made to last only a few seasons. However, Universe stank all the way.

Star Trek - Love all incarnations, some more so than others, but they all have their good and bad points.

Stargate - 'SG1' is great. Really like 'Atlantis', but I think it kind of loses focus in the last season or so. Tried 'Universe' but wound up detesting it very very quickly. Based on SGU (and certain SF remakes outside the purview of this thread), 'dark and edgy' means arranging events so that viewers will eventually root for the Bad Guys, because most of the Good Guys turn out to be d##ks or worse.

Star Wars - Like the original trilogy. Eps 1-3 are interesting as back-story, but otherwise don't do a lot for me. Only seen a little of the animated series and it seems OK, but again it is mostly interesting to me as back-story.

Star Trek: love it all!

Star Wars: more a fan of the original trilogy and The Clone Wars animated series. TPT: only really like the first one (ducks) because Hayden Christiansen isn't in it. I never want to see Revenge of the Sith again: WAY too depressing and disturbing.

Stargate: have not seen anything, including the original theatrical film.

star trek is definitely number one for me, and i love star wars. I've never acually watched a full episode of stargate, couldn't get into the story.

Trek - Have all of it on DVD. Some autographs and collectables. Been to two conventions.

Stargate - Have most of the first series on DVD and some of Atlantas. No autographs or collectables. No conventions.

Star Wars - Have the first three movies on the old 12" VLD's. No collectables but got some for my nephiew. No conventions.

I guess Star Trek for me.
