Star Trek vs Star Wars (The battle must continue)

Um the superlaser would have blasted everything around it not just the Enterprise.

But all Star Trek would need to do is put either Enterprise NX-01, Enterprise 1701, Enterprise A, Enterprise D, Defiant or Voyager against any Empire ship or station and Star Trek would win.

Luke in a X-Wing beats everything though. :rommie:

That explains why he got shot down on Hoth in a Snowspeeder. :p

Did you forget that part where he SURVIVED the crash, got out unharmed, and blew up the AT-AT that shot him down? I'd call that a win. :rommie:

^Was it the exact AT-AT? Unlikely.

And thats still not the same thing as "beats everything" as you said.

You know there is a whole topic around here about fighters vs starships and the whole idea not working. Luke and his X-wing may work in the SW universe, but it doesn't work in the Trek Universe.

Gotta just throw this out there: Trek would win while all the really capable heroes from the Star Wars galaxy are off on the Wookie home planet singing silly holiday songs with Chewbacca's wife and kids. ;)

That explains why he got shot down on Hoth in a Snowspeeder. :p
Did you forget that part where he ...
Did you forget the part where Luke abandons his injured and bleeding gunner to be crushed, and saves his own skin? Quite the hero.

Given how close the shields are to the hull on Starfleet ships, if Luke tried to fly his X-wing through them, wouldn't he then just "impact on the surface?"

:)

From http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dack_Ralter:
Eventually, Skywalker prepared to make the first attack run on the line of AT-AT walkers, and he ordered Ralter to use the speeder's harpoon and tow cable to trip the massive war machine. However, the speeder's aft section took a direct hit from an AT-AT's powerful laser barrage, killing Ralter instantly. Any chance of recovering Ralter's body was then lost when the speeder was crushed under the massive footpad of one of the advancing AT-ATs, after Skywalker was shot down.[1][2]
You can tell from the expression on Luke's face when he's checked Dack's vitals after the crash that Dack is already dead.

^^neelix jar-jar annoy-off AHAHAHA

i was just forwarded this, which we all know is the essence but it expresses such well:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/28/books/review/inside-the-list.html
“‘Star Trek’ is a vision of a future designed by Apple, sleek and white and gleaming. Everything is brand-new — it looks like it just had its protective plastic wrap peeled off. Whereas the world of ‘Star Wars,’ at least in the original trilogy, is a world with a past. It’s a ruined world, where everything used to be new, but now is old and weathered and aged, with its best days behind it. I love ‘Star Trek,’ but I can’t get away from the slight campiness of it, and as a fantasist it’s the romance of ‘Star Wars’ that really sweeps me away.”
