Star Trek Voyager Desktop Wallpapers

BEFORE AND AFTER

Awww. Our LOVELY Kes!!! :-D

We would've become used to the hair (Kes) I agree. I think in part the pixie hair suited Kes being a creature with a short life span. I think moth to the flame or butterfly. Kes resembling tinkerbell gave her a fragility in looks even though she became quite powerful. THAT was a loss to the show in my opinion, not letting Kes exploit her power.

Thomas Eugene, you are SO right with comments about family in Star Trek and how the roles of being in a family were so inclusive. Ocampa, Talaxian, Borg, Federation, Marquis, it mattered for little other than when Janeway 'mothered' for example it could have been toward Harry, or Kes, or Seven, she just took them under her wing. I think that is why the Good Shepherd is a clever little episode because it's a shout out to us that being family on Voyager this lone ship in the Delta Quadrant was the glue that helped them survive and want to survive. In an interactive way when I watch Voyager I get that feel good sense of familiarity.

One as a character was sadly wasted. One and even Suder two rather powerful presences, and I guess (as you mention) if Tuvix had been a character without the loss of Tuvok and Neelix he was a third. It's pretty amazing how in the space of one or two episodes the writers were capable of giving us creations you could connect to.

I don't think that the pixie hair in any way singled out Kes as a character with a short lifespan. No one saw Ezri Dax or Tasha Yar as short-lived people (even if Tasha was killed of but that had nothing to do with the hair).

I think that the pixie hair was sort of a trademark for Kes. With longer hair she became just one of those female Trek main characters.

If she had stayed, I guess I might have get used to the longer hair but I would still have preferred the pixie style.

I have read that Ethan Phillips has performed Ferengi characters at 3 times and in 3 different ST series (& he had fun everytime because with this species, all ‎all excesses are possible) :

- Star Trek: The Next Generation: Ménage à Troi (1990) as Dr. Farak,
- Star Trek: Voyager: False Profits (1996) as the Grand Nagus Proxy. -> even if it was a lure to deceive Arridor & Kol
- Star Trek: Entreprise : Acquisition (2002) as Ulis

As for the story of Voyager's False Profits (3x05), well, is there one? But well, all actors seemed to have enjoyed a lot on the set & viewers enjoyed the level of comedy.

Can I say that Tom Paris is particularly sexy on this picture?!
You made me look twice! And you're right ;)
When isn't he sexy? But yeah, I guess that in some episodes his hair isn't the real thing. And in certain episodes you can't see that his eyes are blue ... I don't know why .... It must be the lighting. They are the bluest in CARETAKER. There he looks ... irresistible.
I find him sexy the way he is ... but yes, there are certain situations when he looks sexier than usual. For example, I love it when he is sitting at the helm and he turns around. In several such instances he looks even more attractive than in general ... :D
Here's the original picture I used for that wallpaper:

Excellent episode and excellent wallpaper!
Thanks, I'm glad you like it. The next one for this ep will be pink ... a la retro style ...

And after one sexy guy here's another for you for today. This, of course, is Chakotay ... and from WAKING MOMENTS:

Well, I know the tastes and colors are not always the same, according to the people but, for me, nope, sorry and this has nothing to do with the actor or his character or their Mexican/Indian origins but simply with the fact that I never felt attracted to men who have a "boxer facies" -> before reading more about the actor, Robert Beltran, I knew that he has practiced this sport).

Lookin' goooood...
Glad you like him ... :)

Oh, don't get me wrong, he is not my kind of guy either (no one can compete with Tommyboy :D). But the reason for this is that he looks very much like my late father ... And I'm aware that he is good-looking - if for nothing else then because as a child I was often dissatisfied with my looks so when adults asked me who I wanted to look like, I always said "Daddy". So obviously I thought my Dad was very good-looking and he looked very similar to Chakotay, at least in his prime.
